The coffee flight here truly lived up to the hype! We got the valentines coffee flight, and it is probably one of the best I’ve had. Color me impressed. They did a great job with the flavor profiles of each pour- the only one that didn’t stand out to me was the Cupid Bold Brew- it was very strong like most cold brews but that was about it. And the flavor description was that it was just a chocolate cold brew so it makes sense. It was really hard to pick a favorite between the other 3. I am always skeptical to try matcha drinks because they’re either delicious or straight taste like dirt, but this one was so good I would’ve ordered a full size version and thoroughly loved it. It was really refreshing and had the right sweetness but not too much. If you want something more sweet, the chocolate cheesecake will fill that desire. That one was really, really good. And the Berry Into You was also fantastic. It’s hard to find the right ratio when making a coffee drink that has fruity notes, but they nailed it. I truly couldn’t pick a favorite between the matcha, cheesecake, and berry one. So well done. We also got an açaí bowl that was muy bien. I know an açaí bowl is good when I don’t want to add a drizzle like peanut butter or nutella to it- it was way too good on its own to do anything else to it. I will definitely be back for food & coffee here. If there’s one thing I could change about this spot is the seating. I came in a saturday so I’m sure that’s one of their busier days, but there was quite literally nowhere for me and my friend to sit. Not even a corner where we could sneak in. Fortunately, a few people left right when we got done ordering but otherwise we would’ve been out of luck. And since it’s located right across from UTampa I think they probably have steady business. They could utilize the space a lot better and even have room to put some seating outside in the front & back. I feel that this made the vibe a little off but they’re really into something here. I will definitely be back but probably more as a quick stop and grab coffee and head out rather than sit down.

Honestly I value getting my moneys worth when spending as anyone would. However my experience here wasn’t all too well. I asked for a pitaya base bowl and the cashier purposefully let me pay for a bowl knowing there was only açai in stock… cool I got over that. Something else that truely bothered me was that the cashier failed to fill the entire bowl with food. I don’t understand who it’s hurting to make sure a customer’s bowl is filled ALL the way to the top. I found this extremely careless. I’ve been to other shops such as Raining Berries and Grain & Berry where the bowl is completely FULL—Which is why I never have a problem spending the money. After receiving my bowl from Social Cafe, I noticed the cashier filled another couple of 🫱🏻 customers’ bowls completely to the top. Hmmm interesting. If you want a cashier to play in your face as they did me, by all means waste your money here. Of course I was as respectful as possible, but I felt this experience was not worth it at all. Won’t be back. Respectfully. Also, the fruit was fresh and had flavor, but the açai base at the bottom of the bowl was extremely sweet. There was an overload of honey which was too overpowering. Not saying you experience will be the same but proceed with caution.

Does this place not have sufficient staff or ingredients to run this establishment? I frequent many coffee shops around Tampa/St.Pete and have never been as unsatisfied as I was here. I initially ordered an iced chai tea latte - no chai available, that’s okay. I proceeded to order a white chocolate mocha latte, which is what is pictured below. This is way too dark to be a white chocolate mocha latte. I then asked the barista if she could at least put a few more pumps of the syrup. She said “yeah, just give me a sec”. I set the drinks on the counter and sat back down to wait. Over 30 mins passed until I decided to stand near the counter to wait for a few more pumps of syrup. You can tell by the drinks that the ice had melted. The barista FINALLY looked over at me and said there wasn’t anymore white chocolate mocha syrup, and ends up putting vanilla. At that point, I should’ve asked for a new drink. I will not be returning and will not be recommending this coffee shop to anyone.
