My experience is through online ordering. It takes forever for them to package and ship your order and they they’re terribly slow with communication, if they even respond. You’d think there would be a rush on perishable items that don’t have preservatives. They advertise online trying to get customers and offer free delivery. Don’t fall for it. Their service is not so great. And after reading the moldy food review, I’m even more worried now! I love vegan food establishments, but when they don’t seem to prioritize their customers and have poor quality control, they can go bankrupt for all I care.
Update 12/20/2023 My order finally arrived. A little timeline of events here: Order placed on 12/5/2023. Received order shipped email on 12/11/2023. Order arrived 12/20/2023. I between that time, I never got a response to my emails.
The cookies appear to be packaged well and insulated. Each cookie was wrapped in cling film. They all appear to look good with no signs of discoloration or mold (thank goodness!). Most still felt soft except for the ube cookie which didn’t taste all that great either. They lay the icing on thick! It is so sweet. Too sweet. The sweetness is overwhelming. I had the ube, double chocolate chunk cookie, coquito, and strawberry cookie cream sandwich. The coquito and strawberry come with the icing. You’d get a sugar rush headache. The double chocolate is soft but crumbly and on the bitter side of bittersweet, and doesn’t have enough chunks for sure. The coquito tasted the best, but the icing is also really sweet. I don’t think I would order again. The cookies are just okay, they didn’t astound me, and customer service was nonexistent, and it took a long time- 15 days from order to delivery. I’ll stick with local vegan cookies from now on. Also, it came with a storage and reheating sheet with cookie type and ingredients panel. And a best by date. My sheet said best by Nov 23, 2023 and it’s December 20, 2023. Even if it was meant to say 12/23, that’s only three days out.
Update 12/28/23: I ended up throwing everything in the garbage because it’s not worth the hype. They weren’t very good. If they were, they wouldn’t have sat on my counter untouched after delivery and I would have shared them at the holiday parties. But I was really disappointed in their flavor so I know everyone else would be too. It was a huge...
Read moreI ordered through this company for Valentine's Day, and boy was it a lesson learned. You would think that a company selling freshly baked perishable food items to be shipped through UPS across the country would use the 2 day delivery, but this seller used ground shipping. Mind you, UPS offers merchants shipping discounts for using them.
After several days of no response from the seller through email, I reached out to UPS. I spent over an hour on the phone trying to get them to expedite my package, explaining that it was supposed to arrive on Valentine's Day or at the latest the 15th as it was full of perishable food items. They apologized for the shipping issues and then explained that the merchant used UPS ground (the 3-5 business day shipping option), but ended up helping me sort it out the best they could.
When the items arrived a few were slightly banged up, but the mini cake came damaged. My impression of what kind of care was taken into consideration for packing these items was that it was a complete afterthought. It was just saran wrap, then wrapped in a layer of tissue paper, stuck in a shallow mailer, more tissue paper shoved in and hoped for the best?
My partner and I tried the brownie (one of the few items that was banged up), which looked nothing like the photos and was very dry. We then tried the strawberry cookie, which was still moist, but tasted straight out of a box cake mix. It has that Betty Crocker/Pillsbury artificial strawberry flavor, and I've made something EXACTLY like it before. My partner unfortunately didn't like it. Had I known I was going to receive items that looked and tasted like something from a school bake sale (or that I could have made at home for less than $2), I wouldn't have paid so much money for it. Additionally the paper that accompanied the package explaining ingredients didn't even include most of the items I got, looks like a generic list of their classic items.
I'm so disappointed because I wanted to support a locally owned vegan company from somewhere my partner and I never had before, and I feel like I was burned. Next time I'll stick to my local...
Read moreSandra, as you know, I have been traveling all the way from Sarasota to support your business by ordering food from your restaurant on a weekly basis. Today, my son placed the food order with Cloude. She was very rude to him. The only thing he asked was to please place the food in the waxed paper bags instead of a box. I asked him to ask her, I was still in the vehicle at this time.
My son asked me not to say anything about it to you when I saw you, to just to forget about it and that he was just not coming back.
However, if I have invested so much time and money to support your business, I believe I should let you know. Her behavior was totally uncalled for. She rolled her eyes while telling him, "well that's where I put the food" in a ride tone of voice . All she had to say was, " sure no problem".
This is not the first time she has been rude, I was there last Friday early morning, she was moving around as if she was fed up or annoyed. I guess she realized how she was behaving and told me "it's still early so I'm still waking up". I thought maybe she was just having a bad day and didn't think anything of it and didn't take it personally and told her, "I understand".
However, you can't behave in this manner every time with your customers. I like the food but I also like to be treated with respect.
I would have called you instead of leaving a review, however, there's no phone number listed on your website. No way to call the restaurant.
I do not want to have this type of experience again.
My decision is already made, I won't be coming back.
Best of...
