I was visiting from San Diego, a city with plenty of Chamorro influences, and decided on this restaurant because I was CRAVING Chamorro-style barbecue ribs for lunch. I strolled into the place, out of the hot and humid noon-day sun, hiking a mile up from one of the beachside tourist resorts. A bit sweaty, my water bottle bone-dry, the server welcomed me and anticipated my need for a bottle of water and a glass of ice. I was the only patron at the time I arrived and I’m a fan of that. My happiness index rose. A few minutes later, it was time for my lunch order. I did not look at the menu; asked my attentive and kind server for Chamorro barbecue ribs, red rice, shrimp keleguen and finedene (my holy Chamorro grail). No problem. A minute later the first items were set on my table which were an assortment of Korean-inspired sides: cucumbers, bean sprouts, kimchee, etc. and they were tasty, slightly spicy, delicious. Then my plate of Chamorro fiesta arrived to my table. There was a mustard-based spicy pepper thing that was so flavorful I dipped chopsticks into it just to dab on my tongue. Addicted. The ribs were tender, flavorful and marinated properly Chamorro style. The red rice was yummy and the shrimp keleguen had a lovely authentic coconut aura, spice and deliciousness. 10 out of 10. To top it off, the server filled my water bottle with ice and water for the trek back to the resort. I Iove the food here and would love to come back and eat the exact same thing. So good! Oh, by the time I left the place, the restaurant was full of lunchtime diners.

Oh man, where to start on this place...First off, we were seated immediately, provided menus, and had drinks within minutes. We then asked the young lady what she recommended, at which she pointed to their most popular dishes per the locals and tourists. We opted on the first and third dish combos (shish kebab & kalbi and teriyaki chicken & BBQ ribs) and a side of chicken kelaguen. Both combo dishes came with a rather large portion of red rice, and several little small dishes were also brought to the table (see photo). I can't stress this enough. Every. Single. Thing. We ate. Phenomenal. From the small appetizer style dishes in the beginning (potato salad to die for- and I hate potato salad) to the teriyaki chicken- OMG. The chicken was super moist and just chalk full of flavor. The short ribs were absolutely excellent, tender, and full of flavor. Everything was just an explosion of flavor on the taste buds. It was all so fresh and seasoned and cooked to perfection! The finadene was exactly the way I like it, and the other sauce on the side (not sure what it was called) was also excellent! The service was excellent, the daughter of the owners is so sweet and friendly!! The restaurant is chamorro/Korean fusion, like many reviews say. They do take card and we will absolutely be returning here and highly recommend!!

This place is definitely OPEN and the food is delicious! There are conflicting reviews and photos, but I ate there last night and I’d highly recommend it. It’s a mix of Chamorro bbq items and Korean cuisine. There are separate menus for both. We ordered off both menus and everyone beyond enjoyed their meals. I got the BBQ ribs. It came with rice and pasta salad. They bring out little appetizer dishes for the entire table, typical of Korean restaurants. It seems a little sketchy when you pull up to the little strip mall building where the restaurant is, but it was fine. We arrived later in the evening, around 7:30pm and the place was empty aside from an animated pair of Korean-speaking older gentlemen. I hope more people go here so it’s still open the next time I visit the island. Well worth the visit if you’re looking for authentic Korean food and want to try Chamorro bbq dishes.
