I am writing to formally address a disappointing experience I had at Benii Restaurant on 12/23/24, during a special occasion for my party. We had come in to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend, and unfortunately, our experience was marred by several issues regarding both the service and the treatment we received from the staff.
Firstly, I would like to express my frustration with the fact that the birthday girl’s order was not entered into the system. This oversight not only caused significant confusion but also led to a delay in receiving our food. Despite us confirming the order with the staff, the issue was not rectified in a timely manner, which affected the enjoyment of our celebration.
Additionally, I was disappointed by the behavior of the staff members when they realized we had arrived approximately 40 minutes to an hour before closing. While I understand that the end of the day can be a busy time, the attitude displayed by the staff was far from professional. Several employees were visibly rude, and some even displayed unwelcoming facial expressions, which made us feel as though we were an inconvenience. This lack of hospitality was not only surprising but also completely contrary to the level of service I had expected from an establishment of your reputation.
I understand that mistakes can happen and that employees may occasionally feel fatigued toward the end of their shifts, but the combination of these issues left a very negative impression on me and my guests. A special occasion like a birthday should have been met with courteous and attentive service, and unfortunately, that was not the case.
I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and address these concerns with your staff to ensure that future guests do not experience similar issues. I would appreciate hearing back from you regarding the steps being taken to improve the overall customer experience at your restaurant.

Read moreI am not sure if tonight they were short staffed but things came and went a quite slow. Refills on water took a while and the place wasn't too crowded at the time we arrived. Also, I am not sure where romaine lettuce fits into a sushi but for me, I don't care for it. I think the person at the Sushi station could use some training on sushi rolling as I am not sure when salmon rolls had lettuce in it, nor was there enough rice to get a nice tight roll. However, flavors were on point but needs some work on the visual aspect. We ordered a teppanyaki set to go but they didn't have salmon-so we changed it to chicken. They have set with teppan chicken set as well (which what we ended up getting instead)and it was $4 cheaper than getting the Salmon but we were still charged for the Salmon price. That is, until I pointed out to the cashier (by looking in the menu)that the Chicken set was cheaper than the salmon. Not sure what kind of Point of Sale system they have the menu and food prices should on it. And servers who informed us of the lack of Teppan Salmon should have changed the pricing on the bill. I was nearly almost done when I found the fly. A whole fly 🪰 🤢🤮. I gave my husband my food to take it to them and started running for the bathroom. After throwing up I just wanted to leave the place asap. I couldn't even drink the drinks anymore. I told my family I just wanted to go home already.
