My spouse and I pass through Taneytown 6 days a week for work and stop at this Dunkin nearly every morning for coffee and a lot of the time get food too. Most of the time we are told to pull up and wait. Even when there's no cars behind us! I guess they have to go milk the almonds and collect the fresh eggs before bringing our order since it takes forever. Nearly every time our order is messed up. The wrong bagel, wrong coffee, wrong flavor, too much cream, etc but have only called to complain twice when the coffee orders were too screwed up to drink. The first time was a couple weeks ago, my spouse (vegan) and I (lactose intolerant) always order almond milk and this time they used real milk. We both took large gulps of our coffee, looked at each other and realized we both had just had real milk. We were not happy, that is a major screw up!! We were both so sick all day at work!! We couldn't get a hold of anyone at the store so we called corporate and they helped us get in touch which resulted in replacements.
Yesterday we went through and ordered a vanilla iced coffee and a cold brew coffee and a bagel. The cold brew wasn't cold brew and both coffees had way too much cream in them, they were undrinkable but we didn't think we had time to turn around to ask for them to be remade so when I got to work I called and told them what happened and they said we could have them replaced the next day. So we go back this morning and my spouse orders the cold brew, instead of an iced coffee I decided to go with an iced latte (since they can't ever seem to get just an iced coffee correct). The manager was at the window and was haughty over the whole situation. She informed us in a condescending tone that she would be charging for the latte because it's different from an iced coffee. I asked if we could pay the difference as I was fine doing that but wanted the money I spent and wasted yesterday compensated. She didn't answer, had an attitude as she closed the window to go do whatever she was doing and came back to tell us the total which was $7.50. Then accused my spouse of only give her $7 when I know she had given $8, because I saw her count it out. Not sure what her problem was there! At this point we were already done and irritated with how we were being treated so my spouse just gave her another dollar so we could get our order and leave.
The staff here is nice enough, even if they screw the coffee orders up constantly. The manager handled the situation very rudely. I'm a general manager myself and would never speak to or treat customers that way. Tone and attitude make a huge difference in customer relations. The rudeness and attitude on top of the hassle of almost always getting wrong or bad coffees has made us decide to just wait until we get to Westminster and go to the Dunkin there in the shoppers shopping center. Much faster, orders are always correct, and customer service is great. I see some other reviewers have said they will be going to the Westminster Dunkin as well and suggest you...
Read moreI recently moved to taneytown and was excited that I had a Dunkin right by me! The first week of ordering was amazing— great service, delicious drinks, etc. However that didn’t last very long. As usual I did my preorder to grab my drink while I get ready for work. I show up 10 minutes after placing the order and it still wasn’t ready. Okay, no big deal. It was Tuesday and they were SORT OF busy. They had a huge corporate order (in person order) placed after I arrived to get my drink. I watched the two people walk in, order and receive their receipt all while I was waiting for my drink at pickup. Instead of making my drink, they made the entire huge corporate order and made me wait ANOTHER 10 minutes for my one silly drink. By the time they got the corporate people out and finally were making my drink, the girl couldn’t have cared less about how I felt— I was livid as bananas because I shouldn’t have to wait 25 minutes after placing the order on the app for one drink to be made. At this point, they already made me fall behind 15 minutes by waiting because my drink should’ve been ready when I got there. I was going to call corporate but after talking to my husband, he said “every place makes errors, maybe today wasn’t a good day for them” so I let everything slide.
The next day I placed another order. This time I thought I’d get smart and choose an exact time, arrive five minutes after that time to ensure it’s 100% ready and everything would be cool, right? Well it was ready, but it was made incredibly disgusting. The concentrate is so strong it’s killing my stomach and I now wasted $4 on a drink I can’t even drink. I don’t even have time to go back and say anything. At this point, I’m done with this Dunkin. If it’s not one thing, it’s...
Read moreWhat’s not to say bad about this place It’s possibly the worst dunkin I’ve ever been too. It’s filled with a bunch of kids who don’t know anything and don’t do much at all. If you’re ever inside or in the drive thru all you hear is kids playing around, tossing donuts to each other, yelling, and clearly oblivious to the people inside or in the drive thru. My wife’s first bad experience with this dunkin was about a month or two when someone accidentally left their headset on and she could hear someone yelling aggressively and then someone in the background giggling. My wife sat in the drive thru for at least five minutes with three cars behind her who were just as confused as she was. Well after being waited finally, she gets her coffee. Not only is it cold but there’s a whole coffee bean floating around in it. This place is absolutely horrendous and I would encourage people to take the extra 17 minutes to drive to Westminster or ANYWHERE else except for here. It’s pitiful service, pitiful employees and...
