Pros: First off the view can't be beat, Taos Mountain is always amazing. The volleyball pits and little tiki bar are great. They also have the NFL package inside for games and they're open early on Sunday for you to watch. I've been here a year ago and was happy to see the menu had gotten a lot more items and looked much better. Most of the food was good. We got wings and tacos and jalapeĂąo poppers. Cons: They only have chips and salsa till 3pm, it would have been nice to have even 2 more menu items, appetizers or something for people to eat while watching the games. Especially since they advertise to come watch on Sundays. We visited this last Sunday last weekend in September and at first we had Amber at the bar who was excellent! Enjoyed her service until about 12 or 1pm but that's where it ended. The next bartender was bad and on her phone most of the time, never noticed if we needed food or drinks, we had to yell across the bar to get her attention when we wanted anything. The jalapeĂąos were waaay too hot and I'm a spicy lover... maybe they had been there awhile and had gotten hotter, maybe the seeds got left in, either way much too hot. The prices were a bit high, it was $15 for only 6 wings, taco prices are $5 or $6 per taco and they're just regular street tacos. Happy hour is only for 2 hours, maybe 1 more hour would be lovely. If the service had been good the whole time we may have actually enjoyed the experience. I would have given 1 star, but the first bartender, the view and the food were good so it offset for me. I would love for this place to be great, I'm hoping the business can fix a few of these things...
Read moreUnable to comment on food, drinks, atmosphere and patio as we were kicked out before we made it to the bar. They have a real cool thing for dog owners on âYappy Tuesdayâ you can bring your dogs to the patio and hopefully have a great time. We were walking the hallways to the bar when we came around a corner and there was a large person standing there wearing all black and it scared my 40 pound Bernedoodle and he barked at him. He stopped barking once he realized we were ok. Turns out he was security and told us to leave. We asked if we could go out on the patio and if he barked again we would leave. Nope, we needed to leave immediately. They may need a different security just on âYappy Tuesdayâ. We donât like barking dogs and we would never stay there if ours was barking. Itâs probably a great place to go. Update 9-22-2025: We had a nice response from the owner concerning our review. Iâm sure next time we are in Taos on a Tuesday Yappy Hour we would give Dalee Ktaos another try. Concerning the security that day Iâm sure he is a good guy that was just doing his job, I would like for him to meet Ryder some day under better circumstances. All our best, Rick, Colleen,...
Read moreWeâre locals. Canât figure out how this place works. We have come two times and been turned away because of âprivate events.â we just brought our family visiting from out of town, everyone was excited we were looking forward to grabbing some food and drinks. Private event. For the entire place to be closed? Canât figure out this establishment. Probably wonât come back.
Update: thanks for the fixed reply. First response I got basically told me not to bother coming back and that our business was not wanted. Obviously you guys reconsidered that tact. I really would like to try you again....
