It's very beautiful especially during Christmas 🎄 time ...Well actually only during Xmas time with all the lights & what not ....I really do wish they could leave white lights up around a few trees though all year long..or do like Red & White during Valentines Day...the Green & White during St. Patty's Day...Obvi RED WHITE & BLUE during labor day memorial day and what not or even just do red white and blue all year round besides Xmas and rep our country all year....I know it all cost money but I'm sure if they were to do this a lot of people would step up and donate to help out or do a fundraiser to make the green look beautiful like it does on Xmas but all year long because it is a historic area that makes Taunton a little better than what it is...but being the center and so blah looking minus at Xmas time would just make everything better in general...but the local businesses in the surrounding area are really great as well St.Pierre's shoe store has been their for years so their doing something right lol...and eagans liquor store, the jewelry store, pawn shop, smoke shop, gas station, convenience store, restaurants, and many other businesses in the area that makes the GREEN even better...I love the fountain across the street from TAUNTON FEDERAL CREDIT UNION as well it lights up docent colors at night during SPRING/ SUMMER time & it's very special to me because my parents had their wedding photos done their years ago & it's still the same!! The fountain in the GREEN/rotary is very beautiful, especially during SPRING/SUMMER as well with all the flowers but like I said before adding some lights all year round would make it even more memorable of a area...Redoing all the sidewalks and keeping up with the brick detail in certain areas as well definitely helps it appearance & also makes everyone appreciate...

The Taunton Parks, Cemeteries, and Public Grounds Department does an excellent job with upkeep in this park.
If you’re visiting Taunton, stop by this historic public space where the first flag raised in opposition to British rule was flown prior to the Revolutionary War. Our “Liberty and Union” flag flies year-round over this historic public spa. If you appreciate history, stop by the Old Colony History Museum right down Main Street off of the Church Green. Around the early part of December each year the City puts on a Lighting of the Green festival which is attended by several thousand area residents. A great time to see the winter glory of the Green and experience the livelihood that continues to grow in...
Read moreThe only time the city makes an effort to make the center of the city focal point mildly worth visiting is during the holidays. The rest of the time it’s bare and boring with just a few benches and some grass. This would no be a a place to bring you kids because here Is nothing got them not to mention the center of the rotary that is dangerous just to look at never mind trying to cross. Seriously not even a place for an adult to go and read a book.
I would say that there are some good small businesses but parking is such a pain that you waste more time parking and finding where you need to go than actually enjoying the city. At the end of the day, unless you have to, I...
