Fratelli's Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Taunton

Today was my first time coming to Fratellis, I had a little extra time and wanted to treat myself with something sweet. Yes I sure got that and more The cannolis are amazing they have chocolate dipped cannolis that are amazing!!! M&M cookies... carrot cake pastry.(Which I am not a fan of but got it for my mom who absolutely loves carrot cake and it smells so good that I took a day off the side and it was delicious) Now the food at 5, the atmosphere 5... But coming from a customer service background it was such great service 5. Albert was the gentleman that took my order he explained what each case had because I think he might have could tell it was my first time in there he asked me what I like and we went from there and she had a smile on his face the whole time just a very pleasant personality and demeanor he is an amazing worker because after me he was right on to the next making sure that they got what they needed and they were served correctly and we're satisfied so I just want to say A plus plus for Albert. I really hope this gets back to the top and they realize what an amazing employee they have and he gets recognition because it's few and far in between you get people that love working at their job and you can tell Albert does and it shows with his interaction with customers so thank you Albert and thank you Fratellis for making my first time visit I can tell you I will be coming back many many more times now that I found You. But most of all thank you for giving a a place where I can get something sweet and just breathe...

Absolutely will never do business with this bakery ever again! We did not let this ruin our wedding day but our cake was disgusting and had a very poor design. We specifically asked for a “real sunflower” and received a drawn on sunflower and sugar hard little sunflowers. This cake looked like it would have been for a birthday and not a show piece for a wedding. The cake decorator never even came out to speak with us a teenager gave us the cake told us not touch the top of the box or it would crush the cake. I opened the box (covered in wrap and tape) at 9am prior to getting ready and was in complete shock how horrible it looked, by then it was to late. Although my hair dresser offered to try to make the cake more presentable, I sucked it up and moved on with our wedding day. They did capture the birch bark crumb coat and heart with our initials but that’s all. I was there today, Mother's Day, around 1:30 for the first time ever. We were looking for a alternative to buying a coffee and donuts at the local chain and stumbled upon Fratellis after a quick search. Was very excited. Entered the bakery and there was only a couple people there, got helped right away and that is where the positive experience stopped. Young woman behind the counter exhibited zero personality and, for two people who were clearly there for the first time, we were made to feel like we were wasting her time. We ordered a variety of desserts and left. I came home to enjoy my eclair and all I can say is that it was only 1/2 filled. Total disappointment. If the service or the food was a good, I would give the place another try but this was a total bust. In reading the other reviews, seems like they may have a training issue with their staff. Maybe I will go back if I am in the area but I will not be making an effort. I can get bad service and average baked...
