I had heard positive feedback on this restaurant so my wife and I decided to drive the 15 miles to see for ourselves. We requested outside seating since we have a small chihuahua that cannot see. We keep our pet in a small stroller to abide by the Florida statute not allowing pets on seat, table or owners lap. She stays in stroller and is extremely quite. Sitting outside a young girl comes out in about 15 minutes calling our name. I answered and the young lady looked at me and then down at the stroller and said: "YOU GOT A DOG" in a huffy tone. She then starts reciting the Florida statute to us and I responded with "I am aware of the statute, that's why we requested outside seating. She ignored my response and took us inside the restaurant stating to the lady at the reception booth we had a dog. I again stated I had requested outside seating. The lady stated , "oh, you did, sorry". After being escorted back outside by the hostess assistant and around to the patio the hostess assistant pointed at a table and said you can sit there but it will have to be cleaned and left. In order to get to the table my wife and I had to move other chairs to access the table. VERY POOR WELCOME.
After finally sitting down a waitress brought out menus. We ordered our meal requesting that the eggs be cooked with the whites done and the yellow a little runny. She stated, "You can order them either medium or medium well; I'm not going to be responsible for your eggs being wrong". Based on other Florida restaurants I said medium.
The eggs were almost sunny side up. YUCK. The bacon had been precooked and cold. The biscuits were lukewarm and appeared to be made from Bisquick. The sausage gravy had a sour taste. My wife couldn't eat it but I did eat a little but not all. The hash browns were slightly warm and a little undercooked. I asked for ketchup and the waitress brought a small container with about 2 tablespoons of ketchup. Getting a little frustrated with the whole even I said "Can you spare it?" She said the boss fixes them like that when he comes in but I can get you more if you want it. She did bring two more then. The coffee and hot tea was ok.
With such a bad experience we will not be returning .
Just a footnote: We were concerned before ordering as the couple that was already seated when we arrived the husband left his plate full of bacon and hash browns. We thought he was probably feeling bad but quickly...
Read moreMy husband and I were in the mood for brunch this past Sunday and decided to give the Twisted Biscuit a try. It was close to noon and the place was packed. People stood or sat at tables outside and we were sure we would not get a table inside. I checked in with the hostess who told me that the wait was 20 minutes. We decided to stay. I mean, that many people can't get it wrong. We found two open seats at the bar (I had to go to work later & we didn't want to rush). So we took those two seats and ordered mimosas. I got the apple cider and my husband got the traditional orange juice, and coffee while we looked over the menu. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with a garlic biscuit and my husband got the country breakfast. Everything was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was creamy and smooth, the crab cakes were delicious, lump crab and had the perfect amount of breading and the biscuits were fluffy and held up well. The cheese grits my husband got were gritty in a good way, the bacon was crisped to perfection and although the scrambled eggs were a little dry for his personal taste, I thought they were done perfectly. I'm sure one could ask for them to be cooked a little wet and he would have loved them. He got the bacon cheddar biscuits which were just the right ratio of bacon and cheese to moist fluffy biscuit. We will definitely be back! I would love to try other biscuit breakfasts but now that I've had such a great first experience with the crab cakes, I'm not sure the rest will measure up! Five...

Lousy breakfast here this morning. Hash browns were awful. Wish I would have taken a picture. One side had a crust so thick you couldn’t cut it with a knife, but flipped it over and other side wasn’t cooked…. Yuck!
Totally empty restaurant except 2 other tables and we were seated by kitchen door.
Eggs cooked ok and good country ham but not hot. Biscuits here are not light and fluffy as we prefer but heavy and dense. Awful gravy! Get it together Twisted Biscuit, you’re in the south! Come to my house for biscuits and gravy and I’ll show you how it’s done!
Something’s changed here. Last time we went health rating was an “A”, now it’s a “C”! Wish we would have looked this info formation up before traveling 45 minutes to have breakfast here.
Pics below are from 2023.
Very nice server who deserves 5 star rating.
Won’t return any time soon.

Very cute little diner. Excellent service from being greeted at door to server (who was excellent) to cashier. All friendly, which is hard to come by these days.. Breakfast was really good. Being a Texan, I’m judgmental about chicken fried steak. This place hand pounds and breads their own. Crispy hash browns too. Biscuits are very good, but still not as good as I made being a southern girl. Husband really enjoyed his ham steak and red eye gravy, saying the gravy kept the ham steak moist and tender. They even serve cranberry juice, which is a rarity. Look forward...
