Growing up this used to be in Detroit and this was a staple in our family when another Mexican restaurant shut down. I have gone here and there when the location changed and I wanted to go a couple times during Corona but they were shut down. I read one review where they charge literally for everything and I assumed yes sour cream jalapenos I get that. What I was not expecting was to be charged for extra chips and salsa. My problem is that it was not disclosed or on the menu. I was offered another basket, btw were not really filled and the sauce cups are pretty small. I declined lucky i did. The queso flameado tasted and looked like hamburger meat very soupy with tomatoes and not very much cheese. They only serve it with 3 tortillas. This is an appetizer between 2 people. Now that third basket would of came in handy for all that I had left over. When I got the bill I was shocked. An additional $5 to my bill. I do not know if this is a new thing because of Corona bc I do not recall this in the past, but there is far better places to go and on top of it will not be nickel and dimmed. Way over paid for half filled baskets. I will no longer be a continued patron and if you guys keep this up you will be losing business which honestly looks like it has been happening because...
Read moreWe were the only people in the restaurant ordered our food no issue. I ordered a chicken taco salad. They gave it to me completely dry. No sour cream that should’ve came on it per the menu. I asked her about my sour cream. She said it might be under the lettuce which it was not. She asked if we needed anything else I said, sour cream and ranch. My daughter asked for extra salsa, I get the bill and I’m charged 225 for the sour cream that should’ve already been on my salad and $.75 for the extra salsa. I show her that on the menu. It says I should get sour cream with my salad. She decides to argue with me and tell me that we ordered sour cream. I said yes, because it was supposed to be on my salad and then another girl comes over and says that the ranch came with the salad not the sour cream so they were going to charge me. I said fine. So you brought me a dry salad and when I asked for dressing, you decided to up charge because you didn’t Bring me what was supposed to be on the salad...
Read moreWell we showed up here and the parking lot had only 4 cars in it so I kind of figured it wasn't a popular place, it's not very authentic because some of the authentic food items u would want on a Mexican menu are not here ( tacos de lingua, carne asada burritos, flourtas etc) the staff was very friendly and they gave us a complimentary basket and salsa, it was quite cold inside the restaurant though as if they had the A.C. cranked. I had the Tacos de Carbon because they had nothing else I wanted and when it got here they brought it in efficient time but the beans were a little cold and the meat had no flavor, very plain. The rice was actually the best tasting item on the plate. I wouldn't say I wouldn't eat here again but I'm glad I tried it and got it out of the way. I would give it 2 1/2...
