Franky’s is a relatively new bar who is looking to establish their roots in the downriver community. I know and understand that it cannot be an easy feat. I think a few tweaks could put our experience at a 5 star. My wife and I got lunch after we voted and ran some errands. We heard that the burgers and the wings were spectacular so we took a drive from Woodhaven to Dearborn Heights to give it a shot. We arrived at the time of opening so I know that it can be a bit chaotic in the sense of getting things together and organized before serving guests. The bartender who served us seemed a little overwhelmed with her duties and had a hard time even taking our order which was pretty basic. Also there are is no menu which takes away from my experience personally. My wife and I both ordered the smash burger, her’s was supposed to have sauce on the side. We also ordered a side of garlic fries and a 6 piece bone-in wing, with garlic parm & buffalo sauce on the side. After about 5 minutes, they brought out a box of onion rings (which we didn’t order) but told us we could keep them, they didn’t have to do that. They were decent, nothing too crazy I mean it’s onion rings lol. Then shortly after that, they brought out a carry out box of a burger and fries. The burger had no onions and no pickles on it, and we were still missing the other food so I waited for my wife to get her burger which was well over 10 minutes from the time we got the first burger. They took mine back and said they’d fix it, they only put onions on it so I asked for a side of pickles. My wife’s burger eventually came out, we were just about ready to go at the point. The wings came out last and they had the sauce on them, but only the garlic parm & the wings were dry as all hell and hardly had any sauce on them. I gave the place a 4 when it really should be a 3/3.5 at best. I can tell they’re trying and I can see the vision as well but I think if some hiring changes were made, it could make a world of difference. The bartender didn’t tell us her name either and I think if she were to write things down she wouldn’t forget as much but who knows. Not trying to be picky but in the economy we live in today, I would like the money we spend to treat ourselves out to eat to be worth while. The owner was kind and apologetic also. For two people, our lunch was $52 including tip with no alcohol. I think it was a little overpriced but then again so are most things in...
Read moreIt used to be marilyn off Monroe and I loved it. It went through a couple people and here we are. Checked it out early in the year for the first time and the vibe was totally different, I didnt feel comfortable, just like I was at a cedar point quick food cafeteria. The waitress the first time was awesome though, zero complaints and I wish I rembered her name, tiny girl in february. Couple shots and food, food was good, but nothing Special, I wasn't a fan of the wings, they had a more Mediterranean seasoning on them which im not used to for bar wings. We had sandwich and fries which was okay. Waitress gave me hope.
Second time, we stopped in to bring an old friend who used to come when it was marilyns. He tried to order a drink and the bartender said sure, and she didnt really know what he was talking about but tried to act like it. so he said to forget it, cause she was googling it, and ordered another drink. He was ordering a mind eraser. We drank a couple drinks and left.
This was the last time we tried. We already came from our favorite bar and wanted to just try them again. Ordered food and drinks. My guy is a huge Guinness fan and it didnt taste like Guinness. Order tenders and a Sandwich, food was mid. Didnt really appreciate the bartender talking down about other bars when they arnt up to par to them.
I won't be back to this bar after trying 3 times and negativity rolling off the tongue. The vibe is of to me. Either way, theres always someone better,...
Read moreNice place and good food. Staff unfortunately were not attentive to me and my friend. Ordered smash burger and fries smash burger came out before the fries once fries were up about 5 minutes later not really a big deal but then cook approached the bartender with our fries she was too busy talking to other patrons so cook set them next to her under the bar she turned around and threw them in the garbage I then said wait were those ours she then was like I thought they were another patron she was talking to which clearly wasn’t he never handed fries to her. Didn’t apologize just told the cook to remake them. Wasn’t until after I received my fires and had to ask for another drink she said the drink was on her based on the fry situation. The atmosphere was chill food good but service was not good. Bartenders are too busy trying to mingle with everyone instead...
