Nestled in the heart of Utah, Patty Shack is a hidden gem that promises a delightful culinary experience for burger enthusiasts. With its welcoming ambiance and mouthwatering menu, this locally owned eatery has earned a reputation for serving up delicious and satisfying burgers that will leave you craving for more.

The moment you step into Patty Shack, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rustic decor, complete with wooden accents and cozy seating, creates a comfortable setting that is perfect for enjoying a casual meal with friends or family. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming vibe, providing excellent service with a smile.

The menu at Patty Shack boasts an impressive selection of burgers, each crafted with care and creativity. From classic cheeseburgers to innovative gourmet creations, there is something to satisfy every palate. The patties are made from high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, ensuring a fresh and flavorful bite with every mouthful. Whether you prefer beef, chicken, or veggie alternatives, Patty Shack has options to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

One of the standout features of Patty Shack is the variety of toppings and sauces available. From traditional favorites like crispy bacon and melted cheese to more adventurous options like tangy barbecue sauce or spicy jalapeños, you can customize your burger to suit your taste buds. The generous portions and generous helpings of toppings make each burger a filling and indulgent treat.

Accompanying the mouthwatering burgers are a range of delectable sides. The crispy and perfectly seasoned fries are a must-try, and the onion rings are golden and satisfyingly crunchy. For those seeking a lighter option, the fresh salads are a refreshing complement to the hearty burgers.

While the focus at Patty Shack is undoubtedly on burgers, it's worth mentioning that they also offer vegetarian and vegan alternatives. This commitment to inclusivity and catering to various dietary preferences is commendable, ensuring that everyone can find something delicious to enjoy.

The only slight drawback to Patty Shack is its popularity, which can lead to longer wait times during peak hours. However, the friendly staff does their best to keep things running smoothly, and the tasty burgers are well worth the wait.

Overall, Patty Shack in Utah is a haven for burger enthusiasts seeking a memorable dining experience. With its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and a menu filled with flavorful creations, it's clear why locals and visitors alike flock to this establishment. I'm struggling with this review. Mostly because this place is brand new and all the rage, but what I experienced was overhype and under delivered. I went on a Friday evening around 730. I preordered my food online and was told via the app it was a 20 min wait, totally cool, I love when expectations are set. I arrived 5 min earlier than my food eta stated in the app, walked inside and three of the 12 tables had guests sitting at them, but the line to order was stacked 8 deep and another 7 people were standing around waiting on orders already placed. The kitchen staff looked to be hustling, but it was clear there was a lot of disorganized chaos. I checked in with the cashier, explained I ordered online, he said sorry dude we're really backed up, it's going to be awhile. I don't mind waiting, I know they're new and figuring things out. Another employee said he'd find out how long it would be, but never checked back in with me. I waited another 15 min, then checked in again, avoiding the cashier who wasn't very intuitive and couldn't be older than 15. I was apologized to and told it would be another ten min. I told them all good, no big deal, I appreciate all their hard work and keeping me up to date. I decided to order a couple of their desserts that were sitting ready to order since they were premade and waiting to be eaten. I admit, I'm a cat kid at heart. I figured, if I have to wait, might as well try the dessert. It was good, frosting was solid and the cake was baked perfectly. My order was ready 25 minutes after the final quoted time of that last 10 I was told. At this point, I had waited a total of 45 min and was starting to get cranky. Mostly because expectations and communication were lacking and I knew I was being really patient and understanding.

The cheeseburger was subpar at best. The bun and fixings were great, but the patty was charred and way over done. Which is disheartening when food is taking so long to get turned around anyway. The fries had an odd taste like maybe the oil was dirty and needed changing.

I'll try them again since there are so many rave reviews. Maybe I got them at a bad time. However, for a new business, the service communication was lacking, staff line was disorganized and the food left much to be desired.

The burgers here a very good! Tasty and done well. Ingredients are very fresh. The fries were over fried. Ambience does have that retro feel, unfortunately it was extremely dirty inside. The floors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in days. Food, dirt and scuff marks all over the floor. Most of the tables had crumbs all over them indicating they hadn’t been cleaned regularly after each guest. So many flys all over the place bugging me making it extremely hard to enjoy my food!! Not just flys either but I saw several box elder bugs around the place. Many of the napkin dispensers on the tables had no napkins. Idk if they’ve had a rough few days or short staffed but I was surprised with how bad the dine-in conditions were. Definitely not indicative of their 5 star rating so I was very disappointed. Toward the end of my meal I noticed that the door does not always self close when people walk in perhaps being the reason for the countless flies inside. As an employee I would rush to close the door or talk to the manager to get that problem permanently fixed. Side note: I asked for an extra fry sauce and was charged for both thinking the first would be free, then I received a third fry sauce free. I would’ve preferred to pay for one and receive the first free. I didn’t need 3. Especially because I couldn’t even eat half of the fries from being overly fried. What’s going on? Would’ve loved to uphold the 4.8 rating but there was absolutely no way. Burger was on point though so in the future I will only pick up from here, and close my eyes as I walk to the register and hope I don’t get...

Patty Shack is the genuine, old-school, mom and pop, classic diner burger joint that is absolutely missing in the salt lake valley! Burgers are a solid 4/5. You really do get a classic diner vibe with the flavors, the orders, the menu, and the atmosphere. It's very fresh, feels home made every time. Soft bun, lettuce and onion are okay (not a fan of chopped lettuce and diced onions on burger, totally personal preference), but the patty and melted cheese on top are seriously top notch. The beef is amazing quality, insanely fresh tasting, and that's why you go right there. Fries are well fried, you can taste it, and the pastrami on the burger was pretty good, thin, almost a smokey flavor to it. I hope to see them get some house made fry sauce some day and not Le Fleur's 👍 But overall, and to give it the best comparison, It's a better Five Guys and for less money. Great staff here, super upbeat. Bacon cheeseburgers, double patty, no lettuce/onion, can't go wrong. Great burger.

This is a very old building in an old neighborhood but I’m happy to see that someone is keeping it going. We ordered two burger and fry combos. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor of the fries was very good. The burger toppings seemed fresh and they tasted good. We ordered our burgers with everything except jalapeños. My only complaint was that by the time I got back home the buns were falling apart. Service was very friendly and the place was clean. Their prices were higher than what is shown on the internet. They are cheaper than Five Guys but they give you a lot less fries and their prices are more than In and Out. I wish they had options for a sturdier bun with tons of sesame seeds, large Ortega peppers, avocado and Pepper Jack cheese but that is just because those are my favorite things wherever I go. Overall we liked this place and we will be back. Also, I like the name, the logo and the simple and clean graphics.
