We were visiting Tehachapi & after checking into our room we wanted dinner but something casual. We had tried other eateries in town but nothing we wanted to revisit. So I went on line & Google restaurants, there were several results some we had already tried & other that didn't sound like what we were looking for. Then I checked Gracian Grill & it sounded exactly what we were looking for. The first thing that inspired us to give them a try was the variety of different types of food they offer, from steak, seafood, & pasta to Mexican. When we walking in we were greeted by a very nice young man, who later we found out he is part of the family who has owned & runs the restaurant for generations. He took our order very quickly & we got our food just as quickly. My husband & I both ordered the Rib Eye steak that came with a delicious bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup, a baked potato & fresh veggies. By the time we finished our wonderful (tummy warming) soup our food was being served. Everything was as piping hot & our steak was cooked to perfection. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced. We were very pleased with our first impression we went back the next morning to try the breakfast menu it was so good our next trip will include lunch too. So we are now loyal Gracian Grill patrons. Great people, food, price & cozy atmosphere . . . . . try it you...
Read moreI was in Tehachapi to see a few friends that I have not seen since at least 2001. So, we decided to go here for dinner. As you can see by the pictures, I had the garlic grilled pork chops and real mashed potato2 (there was potato skin and chunks of potato), along with fresh vegetable medley. The salad, was nice and fresh. My dinner, was really good. However, for me anyway, they did cook the chops a little longer than I would have liked (moist, not dry like this was).
And besides the great company and service, it was a real enjoyable...

I ate the potatoes and toast, then took a few bites of the omelette before noticing that ham chunks were integrated into the egg. I asked for a price adjustment or replacement of the omelette portion of the meal. The server still tried to charge me for the entire meal. After asking for the owner or manager's direct number (which he refused) he asked me to leave without paying anything.
Very odd place. I'm a reasonable guy and I realize mistakes happen, but the key is to own up to them and try to make them right rather than...
