Ordered a full rack of ribs for $29. I asked how the soda refills work and the cashier told us they will come to the table and do our refills . Order came to the table and it was half a rack. I asked the young gentleman that brought the food if that was their version of a full rack and he said "yes." A few minutes later he came back with another half of a rack and said the girl that took the order Thought I ordered a half a rack. This was a lie because I was charged correctly... If I didn't say anything I would have received $15 worth of a $30 order. They either just didn't bring out the food or they are trying to withhold ribs to save money. The ribs were extremely dry and salty....like salted jerky on a bone. There was no smoke flavor and they were cold. They likely finished a long time ago and were just sitting around. I got the mac and cheese and chili for sides. The chili wasn't bad but the mac and cheese was also cold. The server came to our table once before our food arrived to refill our drinks but after our food arrived they never came back after that. They had five people working behind the counter and apparently nobody for the tables. Even if the service was great and I received the food I paid for...the food quality wasn't very good at all. When you've had really good barbecue you just know what it's supposed to taste like and this definitely isn't it. I will not be back. If you decide to eat here, make sure you're getting all your food, You...
Read moreThis little hidden spot is worth the drive. I happend to smell the smoked meat in the air and drew me in. It's not very big, but very hospitable, and outdoorsy decor. I orded the the fried mozzarella stick to start and the two meat combo. They got me at first bite. You can tell a lot of love went into making their food. The cheese from the mozzarella sticks, stretched out for days. And addition to dipping it in ranch gave it a very nice compliment the ranch was buttermilk Style. I ordered the pulled pork and brisket the side of their breaded crumbled deep fried mac and cheese. Paired with their red Irish beer. The mac and cheese was love at first bite right amount of cheese the noodles were cooked to Perfection not too soft not too hard very creamy and it gets better with every bite. I can't explain all the flavors that are in it it just hits you all at once. The pulled pork you can taste Oak wood all natural along with a little bit of crispy burnt heads very juicy. Brisket can be pulled no cutting needed. Has a combination of oak wood, cracked pepper sweet bbq flavor. Melts in your mouth goodness. The corn bread omg, was soft with butter and hint of honey. No need to add butter. It was warm and easy to eat. I will be coming here again and...
Read moreThis was our 3rd attempt to eat at Redhouse BBQ. We were really looking forward to it because the reviews are good. The 1st time we visited, the wait was too long so we left and the 2nd time they were closed. The food was just okay and was a bit too pricey for the quality. For $28 we received 4 ribs that didnt have much meat on them, and 5 small pieces of brisket that was about 1/4 fat, red slaw and okra (the red slaw was good). We were told our order would be ready in 20-25 minutes but it took closer to an hour.
The staff were friendly, except for the man who wore a shirt with the name Dominic on it. He was extremely rude and unwelcoming. He first snapped at us for getting plastic eating utensils from their self-serve table (we had 3 people in our party and picked up 3 packets for our to-go order). It was apparent that he assumed we were eating there, and that the server would bring our utensils to us, but he was unapologetic when I told him we were waiting for our take out order. He then refused to permit us to leave from the door in which we entered, and instead insisted, in a loud angry voice, that we go back out to the patio and all the way around the building, which wasn't an easy task for my handicapped husband.
We will...
