Frida's Mexican Taqueria — Restaurant in Telford

This was my first time trying this place. A lot of locals recommended it to me. I always get nervous about ordering at authentic places like this because I'm really picky with vegetables, I usually just order stuff with meat and cheese. And, for anybody else worrying about that, I can confidently say that there are options for you here. Using the Toast app made ordering with and without certain toppings or ingredients very easy. I got a steak quesadilla, and it is just meat and cheese on the grilled tortilla. For any people that want great food but don't like vegetables, this is what you would most likely want to order. And the quesadillas are delicious. Next time I might try a burrito since it doesn't have veggies on it, except I'll keep the beans because I love beans. My wife goes for plenty of veggies like peppers and onions, and she says that her dish was great. As for kids with taste sensitivity, there's a lot of options for them too as there is a kids menu. The staff is great and does an amazing job. If you are looking for great Mexican food, this is a great place to go. And even if you are someone who has taste sensitivity or restrictive eating disorders and don't like veggies, you still have plenty of options. Food took over 35 minutes to come out. We ordered online and paid online. Me and my girlfriend ordered on the same exact website and it said the order went through for the both of us. We arrived a couple minutes after we were supposed to according to the website saying the time it would most likely be done. My burrito was given to me within 5 minutes upon arrival. When we arrived we were told her food under her name would take 1 more minute. 10 minutes go by and every time we asked we were told it would take a couple more minutes. After another 15 minutes, we asked again and then was told that the food was actually never made. We had to wait another 10 minutes to receive 1 kids meal. In total it took us 35-40 minutes to receive 1 order after being told multiple times that it was being made and would only take a couple minutes, when actually it was never be made the entire time. We've eaten here a few times now and really enjoy the food and restaurant. I'm hoping that this experience was a one off. The service was below average at best. Our waitress on several occasions would forget simple requests like drink refills, food items (our appetizer and a side of sour creme in this case), and the check. Each time she needed to be reminded at least once. She seemed to have better things to do rather than attend to us - one of only two tables with people in the restaurant at the time. The food was not at the quality that we were used to. I ordered the Carne Asada which was full of flavor, but it was super fatty and chewy. My wife and daughter made similar comments about their meals. When we received our bill, I was surprised to see that we were charged for each drink refill.
