Attempted to eat here on 7/20/25, my parents were visiting from out of state and while they waited for their room, on property, we decided to do some wine tasting and meet up with some family from San Diego. At about 2:15pm I went next door to put our names down and see if they could get us in for a late lunch, hostess was very nice and let me know that for a party of nine it would be 18% gratuity, we wouldn't be able to split checks and for a party of our size we couldn't be seated outside. I let her know that wouldn't be a problem and I understood for a large party like ours it might take them a while and to please text me when it was ready. At about 2:35pm our table was ready we walked in, she asked if my father's dog was a service dog, which she is, we told her yes and being from Texas they had certifications for her training and offered them to the hostess, she declined and showed us to our table. We were seated at the table and as we were getting situated a woman came over and said unfortunately due to our dog we'd have to sit outside. My father let her know it was a service dog, not a pet, and she said it was their policy. My father then let her know she couldn't move him due to his service dog because that would be discrimination. She apologized but stood her ground. We asked for a manger and Crystal said she was an assistant manager then a gentleman came over, Dylan, and claimed he was an assistant manager as well. He stated he knew the law and it was the owners discretion to allow dog's inside the restaurant even if they were a service dog. Yet when I put our names down I was told we couldn't sit outside because of our party size. 🤔 So please tell me which is it? My parents emailed the actual manager whose name escapes me and he decided to finally call them on the 25th, the incident happened on the 20th. He apologized for not reaching out sooner but he was busy and it slipped his mind, he also said Dylan and Crystal we were incorrect and that it is not their policy. Spare me your deceitful rhetoric! Either Dylan and Crystal were on a random power trip or the owner has made such a disgusting statement. A statement that blatantly disregards laws enacted by the ADA which specifically say "People with disabilities who use service animals cannot be isolated from other patrons," Had my father needed use of a wheelchair or prosthetic leg would Dylan and Crystal have asked us to move outside because it was the "owner's discretion"? I bet good money they would not and as someone who has eaten at this restaurant on multiple occasions I'm disgusted and appalled at how my father and our family were treated. Shame on you Jeffrey R. Carter for allowing people at your establishment to be treated...
Read moreStaying a couple nights at South Coast Winery Resort where I have stayed numerous times. Typically the service at the hotel, winery, and restaurant is great. Unfortunately my wife and I had a terrible experience at the restaurant tonight. We had already eaten dinner at another restaurant and were interested in getting a couple glasses of wine before calling it a night. The hostess was initially helpful explaining we could order at the bar and there was seating in the bar area. This is where the service went south. My wife preferred to sit in the outdoor seating area and as we discussed this with the hostess she told us she would have to add us to the waitlist even though it was after 8:00 on a Tuesday. the restaurant closes at 9:00, and there were no other customers waiting. She explained that she had several reservations she was expecting. She told us we could order at the bar and take our drinks to the tables across the lawn area where there was no service and no other people. When we eventually walked outside only half the outdoor tables had people seated at them and no other parties showed up. I guess all those reservations never showed?
Prior to heading outside we had ordered a bottle of champagne at the bar since we wouldn’t be served where we were going to sit. The bartender acted like he had better things to do than to serve us and we patiently waited while he walked aimlessly behind the bar never actually making a drink for anyone else while we waited. Upon ordering the bottle of champagne he just set it on the bar and asked if there was anything else we needed. He didn’t bother to ask if we were taking back to our room, taking home, or intended to drink there. When I asked if we could have a couple glasses you would think this would be a clue for him to offer to open the bottle for us and perhaps pour two glasses for us? Nope, nothing. I could have gotten better service at a local dive bar. You would think you would be treated with a bit more class at a resort we we’re staying at. I’m a successful business person and know how important service is in any business. Tonight I felt there was more going on and potentially that the color of my skin is a couple shades darker than it needed to be to get...
Read moreThe Vineyard Rose is part of a wonderful resort hotel to which we have yet to stay, but we sure want to. The restaurant is so great.
This time we had both breakfast and dinner there. The place is as clean and wonderful as it was the last time we were there. it is just lovely and there is dinning inside or outside, both are great.
The service is now perfect. They get to you right away and check on you. Your food is delivered pretty fast and it is just great.
This time we had for breakfast, the steak and eggs which has this wonderful mushroom seasoning, a tasty flat iron steak with fried eggs and wonderful roasted tomatoes and great potatoes. We loved every bite. We also had, smoked salmon toast which has avocado, cucumber a lemon dill yogurt a bite of caviar and sourdough bread. I don't know if they make it there, but it is great. I could just eat toast and more toast and be happy. It also has a side salad which is crisp and ever so fresh.
We returned for dinner a couple of nights later and were just wowed by the selection and the food. We started with Caesar salad and a great Mediterranean salad, which had mixed romaine, the best tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, some great feta cheese along with a tasty lemon-oregano dressing. It was all so fresh and crispy.
We tried the salmon, with wild mushroom congee, legumes and shaved carrots. It was cooked to perfection and some of the best salmon we have had in Temecula. It was just perfect. The filet we order was cooked rare, exactly as ordered and so tender. It had a mushroom seasoning, the best smoked mashed potatoes, perfect asparagus all in a wonderful deep wine sauce. It was magical. We also had some shrimp because we are spoiled and were in heaven.
The crème brulee was very good, not the best I have ever had, but super good. Try their caramel-pecan brownie. it is the best with graham whipped mallow brulée, a tasty chili ash salt with goji berry. That is something you can't really get that good elsewhere.
We did not have wine, but we had some great coffee. I forgot my phone, in the car, so borrowed two photos. We had the best time and...
