Friendlier and faster than mickey-D in my neighborhood, the staff here seems to work well together to make good results.
I have never been inside, but the drive through is well managed, using one lane when things are slow, two lanes when busy.
Food wise, I have had breakfast and once a cheeseburger and fries. Uniform and recognizable, so I guess my main praise here is hot items are hot, not lukewarm or cold.
Cheapskate warning: some advice to follow may be pennywise and pound foolish.
My typical purchase is less than $5, but I know it is really easy to combo things up and spend much more. I sometimes use the app to order, but often, the app is a speed bump that makes my breakfast pickup take twice as long. I like the frequent $2 breakfast sandwich special because otherwise my favorite sandwich choices are twice as much, so if I am running early, and the app cooperates, I think it is worth the time.
App failures include things like frequent reentry of login if you use the email address and password option, or forgetting payment info so that breakfast comes with a side of data entry. Also the app may say you have a pending order and it's workflow does not always allow starting fresh if you bail or previously bailed on an order in progress. And of course if you navigate options and pick a deal, then bail, it is 15 minutes before another deal can be picked. The reorder option is nice, but does not play well with the deals feature, so instead of recording a $2 breakfast sandwich deal, you just ordered it for $5.
I like eggs for breakfast but making them at home takes time and cleanup. Scrambled eggs are available as a side order and this can be an option for low carb or if you combine it with other ingredients. As a rare junk food-eater I've for years dutifully tried almost everything on their menu at least once, except this outlet. Somehow, Overall experiences are not bad! To make it easy to gauge each of these joints across the country, when I infrequently do try them, whether eating in or driving through, I've devised a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being outright down and dirty nasty, and 5 being the best a fast-food joint I think it could be! I gauge by: 1) cleanliness; 2) service; 3) product quality, taste and consistency; 4) convenience and accessibility; 5) taste and quality of product and 6) the staff’s attitude, disposition and customer service level. This place scores (and I’m pushing it) 2.5 of 5.0. I must be honest, having visited this specific McDonald’s 55 times (according to my Yelp tally), and only for breakfast drive thru or inside (for their McMuffin meal with hash browns and coffee or orange juice to be exact). It was visit number 55 that spurred me to write this review. Read moreI don't feel like I should be inconvenienced by going to another McDonald's further from my home, but 9 times out of 10 my order is wrong, and today was no exception. I arrived home to find that my order was wrong once again, so I called on my drive back there, and spoke to the manager, (who didn't even apologize to me), to ask them to re make the correct food, and when I got to the window I got my replacement food and started to drive away and just happened to check the bag and the order was still the wrong food. As I turned my car around and drove back to the drive thru,I asked what's going on my order is still wrong. As I was waiting for the car in front of me to get their order I overheard the gentleman say his order was wrong too, but he checked before driving away. I've voiced my concerns with management and nothing has changed. I have voiced my concerns to the # on the window that says to call for comments or concerns and still nothing has changed. If you would like to spend your hard earned $ and most likely won't get what you ordered then this is the place for you. I can understand multitasking is difficult sometimes but come on if you are having trouble then ask the customer to please hold a moment. So...
