Okay I LOVE the house location but this one has disappointed me every time. I’ve worked at a coffee shop myself so I know how espresso tastes when it’s bad, and mine tasted bad. The last time I came I had the same barista, I got a matcha latte and it tasted like sweet oat milk, not matcha, so I asked for a hot cortado instead. The cortado had no texture and tasted like a hot americano with a splash of oat milk. Today I went and the same barista was working, my friend ordered an iced americano and I, a small iced latte with an extra shot. Neither of us could drink our drinks because the espresso tasted like it was sitting for minutes before being put in our drinks, it was incredibly dry and flat. We were too afraid to ask for a new drink because this barista was just unapproachable and rude. I love felicitous I just wish this barista cared more about the quality of her product ):
Edit:
okay well based on the response to my initial review, it seems whoever responded doesn’t care about their customers experience. This is sad because I truly loved this place until I continually experienced drinks I could not drink because they were so bad with the same barista. I decided to write a review hoping they could address this recurring issue, and instead they disregarded everything I experienced, even though I have always enjoyed the house location, and every single person I know feels the same. So I genuinely hope they do something to improve their customers...
Read moreI wanna give a brutally honest review. I absolutely love coffee and chilling in coffee shops, and love to support my local businesses. I’ve enjoyed some coffee and products I’ve gotten from this store but I honesty feel like it’s a gamble.
The coffee/drinks have not been consistent in my experience, different baristas have pretty varying skill level imo and for working at a coffee shop some don’t seem to be the most well trained. :(
Some baristas I have LOVED their customer service, offering ideas, letting me know the prices, etc. but not all.
I also think it would be nice to affirm the upcharges (adding syrup/alternative milks) to customers if they want to add something to their drink. I know the prices are on the menu but it’s always nice to let someone know that it is going to be extra. Also, I ordered a latte and never even was asked what size I wanted just was given the larger/more expensive one by default. I don’t know, it’s just the little things that I think can make a big difference.
Lastly , just in my opinion, the vibe is just decent. This is just a personal preference, and I like that they seemed to have made the effort to upcycle and use local artists which I love, but I just think it has a lot more potential. I feel like with some changes it could be much more pleasing to the eye. Still love y’all I just want to make some things aware for perhaps...
Read moreCoffee shops have historically been, and are supposed to be, common grounds for community building, spaces where people socialize, exchange ideas, and places to network. Here, the baristas refuse to take your order unless you're paying with cash. The most recent time I visited the barista kept saying that the manager is "really getting on them" about using the QR codes. Its honestly very disappointing coming into a local coffee shop just to be forced to order through my phone and have an experience devoid of any human interaction. At this point I might as well go to the McDonalds and use the self service kiosk to get a McCafe coffee. In todays society we are already so starved of human interaction, I really cant understand why a local business would want to further contribute to making us...
