If you're looking for great food... I'd recommend keep driving. I had been here once before and it was...meh. This time I wanted to try the indoors (opted for the patio to hang with the pup last time) and grab Lent friendly dinner. They had a good amount of options and we were excited! Salmon salad, salmon burgers, fish and chips, fish tacos... great options! We started with the fried cremini mushrooms...ok... filled with some sort of cheese and fried in panko... but ok. The fish and chips which our server promised were authentic like in the UK, were panko breaded and a bit under done (fish n chips are traditionally beer battered) and although the chips were good they were served with ketchup...no malt vinegar...the fish was served with what was clearly or at least tasted like bottled tartar sauce. For the Mahi mahi tacos... well. They looked delicious! And then this Mexican looked at the clearly store bought corn tortillas which ... well they just cracked... not because of a crispy fry, but because of the lack of cooking... steamed or otherwise...the slaw was VERY sparse, the fish was fishy, and the promised mango salsa was/tasted jarred.... so jarred!!! I want to credit our server who clearly realized my disappointment and came to help. She conferred with the owner who readily credited my bill and offered anything on the menu to compensate... very accommodating! She even personally apologized! And I want to be clear that when I declined the offer of some other item on the house as well as the credit, she freely brought a gift card to afford us an opportunity to come back and give them another chance... very gracious! Although I accepted the card... seems I neglected to pick it up and bring it home.. I also didn't feel like I missed out and should try to retrieve it... Well, although I feel badly that it may come across as intentionally rude.. well I don't really have an interest in trying them again. Sorry 3West Alehouse... unless I really need a beer... I don't think we'll be back... and I'm sorry I won't be recommending to anyone anytime soon. If you want to know why the 3 stars.... well the service from Michelle was OUTSTANDING! And to credit the owner... she was very gracious.

3 West offers a nice patio area that we were able to bring our furry friend. The nice part is that there's a door close to the patio so that you won't be walking through the restaurant for more than a few feet to get to the patio. We enjoyed the meat and cheese tray. The tray offered two thick cut pieces of bread, buttered and toasted like an airy Italian bread should be. The mustard was a very course ground type that was not easily dippable or spreadable. It had a lovely flavor. 3 different meats and cheeses were offered along with oil brined olives (I believe). The candied bacon was lovely. The sliced salami was tasty. The sausages were cooked and ok. There was what I believe is cubed cheddar, dry and mildly flavorful. The white cube cheese seemed like maybe a dill havarti which was quite tasty. And the round wedge slices were creamy and smooth with a lovely mild flavor. We enjoyed them the best. The servers were lovely. We were greeted with warm smiles and kind voices. The bartender had to run out and pet the pooch and offer him treats. Big dog fan. Our server offered the right amount of attention, being there just as we needed, no more, no less. This feels like a little more upscale type of place, and we spent the same here for 4 cocktails and an appetizer as did that night for two Italian dinners, an appetizer and a tea. No complaints, just an observation. If we lived in Temple, this would be a hangout for the hubby and his furry buddy.

Gonna start with the TLDR because this will be long: slow service, prices don’t match quality, poor organization. Went for dinner and a beer on Thursday night, they were pretty busy but we were seated immediately. Our table was in a terrible spot, right in the middle of a main walkway, all the servers had to turn sideways to get passed us. There were other tables available but we decided to just keep our spot and see how it went. I had fish and chips. The fries were lukewarm but still edible. One piece of my fish was excellent, nice and flaky, but the other was soggy on the bottom but again, it was edible so I ate it and it was just OK. Wife had a burger, she said was ok but again the fries were just lukewarm. For the prices, the meal should have been better. I finished my first beer then tried to flag down our waitress for another. Took a while but her tables were pretty spread out so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and gave her a good tip anyway. Now back to the table, my wife had a perfect view all the way back to the kitchen and saw a waitress bringing if our someone’s order when one of the managers (I assume he was a manager) reached over and grabbed some of the fries off the tray and ate them. Maybe he was checking to see if they were hot enough? I don’t know but found it unprofessional. All in all it wasn’t a great experience for $55 plus tip.

Dear Future Guest and Possible Applicants,

Please be Wary and Heed my words as I hope they add value to your Interpretation on 3 West

I currently was recently hired here as a server and am using this review to say. . .

I’m quitting, effective immediately.

The OG staff that are at 3 west( some but unfortunately most)

hold very unwelcoming energy and do not hold a willingness to elude to proper respect, courtesy, and/or show they have the plain ability to verbally communicate with others on staff AND new colleagues.

There is no way management should be okay with over staffing servers to the point many are only making 5-6 dollars an hour. There is also No Way the Shift Manager should have issues verbally explaining and communicating to NEW STAFF how she’d expect/like the restaurant to be closed.

She’s also very unenthusiased and not knowledgeable of important manager stuff

I also can’t fathom a single reason as to why The Lead Host is able to leave shift ( without explaining Seating rotation to all Servers or the Lead Manager taking her position ) to put on an apron and chef it up in the kitchen— the organization of 3 West lacks astronomically and hinders the FEW good employees they have.

I also don’t see how it’s fair for a manager to ask ME to stop serving during the middle of A “Rush” to Begin Sidework while Not being Cut from the Floor

while All Other Servers Continue to take tables AND

when there’s a WHOLE HOUR AFTER the kitchen closes where the bar remains open for servers to do loose side works

and then for Her let a closing server leave Without doing Any Sidework to help anyone else on the Team. Thanks Koellie! Your management rocks

The sense that makes is Zero.

Also- I find it completely inappropriate that a Peer Server is allowed to hold disgruntled energy and give looks of Distain to fellow members who she isn’t fond of. First Lesson of Human decency, if someone waves goodbye when you make eye contact— you typically wave back not stare at them for 2 seconds then flick your head away.

A lot of the staff are just rude to each other and don’t respect people as individuals

I find 3 West very inappropriately managed and that it lacks the backbones of Basic Human Communication which is important to Moral Integrity and Interaction between staff

Also— it’s very easy to ask who is Still Drinking from A drink. I brought in a Mint Coconut Cream and Coconut Milk Latte to remain energized after working a full shift from my other job—that was FULL—- and came back to it trashed without anyone asking if I was finished with it. Rude, rude and inconsiderate, the lack of humility is insulting. Y’all owe me 10 dollars

I have served in High Volume Restaurants for over 2 years and I can Confidently say that 3 West tops the cake of the Worst Managed Restaurant in America. My oh my, I hope y’all do better-

Please start by CARING how much your servers are making. $5 an hour? Have a little compassion and understand that the most yall probably need in one shift is 3-4 people. And even saying 4 is reaching because y’all are always BEYOND SLOW AND NEVER HAVE A WAIT

Overall 3 West has very good food, a VERY VERY GOOD KITCHEN but terrible terrible management- the front of house needs some work.

I love serving and appreciate making people at my table happy but I can’t degrade myself by accepting such poor treatment from peers and staff when I’ve tried my best to be malleable, perceptible, and friendly. And it would hurt my heart to not share my terrible 2 weeks here with the public. Genuinely, I hope this is helpful.

Please reconsider applying if you thinking of doing so but go in for a lunch or dinner the food fr fr is bomb 💣

Pretty bad experience. We ordered 2 beers and the server came back saying the beer my husband ordered was out but came back with a sample of another but couldn’t tell him what it was as bartender just said to give it to him. He ordered a different beer. We placed our order for a pretzel, 2 sets of 6 wings, and a burger. I asked what the house sauce was but again server didn’t know. She brought me a sample. It was fine. We also ordered 2 sides of fries as they were extra. From the time of ordering to just get the pretzel it was 35 minutes. Our server stopped by 2 times to ask how we were doing. On the second time, I mentioned we were ok but we’re wondering where our food was. She then became super apologetic and said the kitchen was backed up. The resturant wasn’t even half full. A few minutes later she came back and said actually what happened was their ticket machine had been jammed and they were working on it. So not a great look that she fed us a line. So pretzel came. Clearly frozen that they heated up but fine. Husband ordered another beer. It never came. 1 set of his 6 wings came out. It was another 10 minutes before my burger and fries came out. Still no sight of his other set of wings or fries. I specifically asked for no tomato on my burger but I came with one. Fine, I took it off. The bun was cold. The cheese wasn’t fully melted and the burger meat itself was tiny. I ate half the burger because I was super hungry at this point because I didn’t have lunch, we waited 44 minutes and it was already 8:20 pm. I realized the caramelized (aka cooked) onions were cold and that was it for me. We asked for our check. Our server got her manager. To her credit, the manager really did the right thing. She apologized and said she was only just told of the problems. She took a couple items off the bill and discounted the whole bill. That was the right thing to do. They offered to package up what we had or give us dessert. We declined. We had great exceptions from this place, but very disappointed. Only staff member who seemed to take her job seriously was the manager. Unfortunately, we will...
