Golden Corral Buffet & Grill — Restaurant in Temple

My husband and I eat at your restaurant every other day at lunch, and we have done so for a couple of years now. Monday, we had lunch and then went to Austin. On the way home we decided to have dinner there as well. We have never had dinner there before only lunch. As soon as I got there from Austin, I needed to use the ladies' room only to find that whole section blocked off for a party. I asked, and they told me it was reserved. I said I really need to pee. They said ok, and I dashed in quickly. In my hast, I did not notice the floor was wet, and I slipped and fell hard, hitting my head on the floor. The smell of bleach burned my eyes and ruined my new dress. I pulled myself up and used the restroom. I told the girl at the door that they needed to put up a sign that the floor in the restroom was wet, and she said why? I told her, "Because I fell." I went to my table and sat there before getting my food because my head really hurt. A young lady with lots of braids came up to me and asked me what my problem was. A bit taken back by what she said, I told her what happened. She walked away to check out the restroom, I guess. She came back and told me that she wasn't going to say that I didn't fall, but if I did and I go to the hospital to call you. And she tossed me your card. I was shocked. An apology would have been nice, but that was never offered to me. Our dinner was ruined, my new dress is all bleached and faded in back. And all I wanted was a bowl of soup, and there wasn't any. I have never been treated so poorly. My husband and I are elderly. Falling is never a good thing for people our age. Oh, and the party they had blocked off the dessert and restroom section for never came and was opened up when we left. I was very disappointed today and heartbroken about our favorite place to eat. It's so late, but my head really hurts, and I can't sleep. I will get to the doctor tomorrow if I still...

It has been a while since I last visited GC. Well, all is so changed. Water is so poor. I think all over killeen and it doesn't help if you don't have water system to filter drinking water. I don't allow myself to drink unhealthy drinks like soda. I can't with tea because it came from same water source. The city's. I asked for bottled water..the cashier told me they don't have. They old manager there, used to just give me, or I can just bring my water in from the car, no problem, but now, there's no water bottle to give or sell and there is now a sign by the cashier's sta. of no outside water allowed in the restaurant. Their water tasted nasty. I don't drink city water unboiled, it tasted nasty and unhealthy. It tasted like moldy. The food, I find disgusting. There are some gloves around, but customers are not forced to wear them. There's a lot of unhealthy practices going on around there. They refilled stack of plates with workers carrying it like baby's, hugging to their bodies, to its station. Not changing their gloves when they have to. They need to scrub those bathrooms down..stench smells all the way out... people touching their nose before getting a hold of those ladles. Workers too. Bathrooms are the dirtiest here in Texas! No control. restaurants can smell awful but people come and eat anyway. If I work at health department...I'll grade them "D", until they're cleaned. Food are not so fantastic, they are pre-seasoned and no control on the saltiness of most of the food and specially their so called lovely steak...no steak is good, if they are pre-seasoned. This is not healthy...

Have been several times and the cafeteria style service is great. Look at all the different types of food available and then choose what you are craving. Always had staff very friendly. Area little dirty but they have alot if people in and out daily. Compliments to this restaurant for honoring our Military too. 👍 Friday Jan 20,'23. Can't go wrong with the price you pay. Has an abundance of different foods to please your pallet. Veterans discount too . Update: March 23, 2023. So many seniors enjoying the Buffet today. Excellent choices of food. Everything was great. 👍👍 Update 5 June, 2023. Wonderful meal today. Steak and fries. Along with a fantastic salad. Stuffed full. Very friendly staff today also. 👍👍 Update: 18 August, 2023. Pretty good size crowd today. Only did the Soup and Salad Bar today. To hot outside for me to eat a big meal. Fantastic!!!! All is well 👍👍 Update: 28 Dec, 2023. Went for early lunch. Excellent 👍 service and food. I hit the salad bar. A great salad bar to choose from. 👍👍👍 Update: Mar 26, 2024. Still is a nice restaurant for all- you- can eat. Excellent salad bar and an array of food entrees to choose from. Plus a wonderful dessert table too. Go try it. I noticed lots of seniors there for the lunch hrs during the week. For the price----...
