The best tacos in Temple! I was a little doubtful about whether the place would be good or not since it's in a gas station, but I was very pleasantly surprised! I was greeted quickly and with a warm smile. It took me awhile to decide what I wanted because they have a lot of offerings, but I wound up getting my usual: a plate of street tacos. You pay first and then they bring you your food. The guy who works there told me that they're upgrading their menu to digital screens in-store, but I still took photos of the paper menu hanging from the ceiling. There was nobody when I got there around 5:30pm on a Thursday, and it was very clean. With the street taco plate you can choose two meats and it brings 5 tacos and a side of charros (you can change the charros to rice or refried). I ordered the asada and the carnitas and they were delicious! The carnitas was juicy and crispy (as it should be) and the asada was also flavorful and not dried out! They cook the orders fresh on their griddle, so you will never be served meat that's been precooked and sitting out, which I appreciate. They don't sell drinks, so you have to buy your fountain or bottled drinks in the gas station (my fountain drink was $2.05 with tax).
