The Soda Shoppe — Restaurant in Terre Haute

Love the chicken quesadillas here and the French fries are addictive. HOWEVER on Monday 08/11 around 745pm I noticed a skinny build girl by the grill she seemed disgruntled and complaining under her breath while cooking my order. She was threatening to quit and when my pager went off for our order being ready she very rudely said "right there" when I came up and picked up my to go bag. The other people that work there are very nice, but I noticed how upset she was. Regardless of how she feels she definitely needs coaching for respect and professionalism, people notice that behavior and having worked with people like that it creates a toxic environment, if she dislikes being there so much she needs to find another job instead of the eggshells about to crack behavior she displayed. Was a little hesitant after reading the reviews of the other restaurants in the new Terra Haute Casino and Hotel.

I had the Philly cheese steak, wife had the chicken quesadilla, and the in-laws had chicken fingers.

All the food was great! Cooked to dang near perfection. Would recommend this place out of all the restaurants here.

Very good, old school looking diner. Please note that this is inside of the casino, you have to enter the actual gaming area. It’s free to park and go in. The prices are a bit high but the food is very good. The chili dogs were very filling and flavorful, so was the sandwich. Fries were amazing! Decor was thoughtful, colorful. Very clean. Would recommend and can’t wait...
