Twisted Fork Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Texarkana

This is a newer, upscale restaurant offering menu items that are unique to that from other restaurants in Texarkana. The Twisted Fork is located just north of Interstate 30, off of Summerhill Road, in the shopping center at the intersection of Moore's Lane and Summerhill.

The Twisted Fork has its own very talented executive chef, Mr. Staley James, and patrons also enjoy the cooking pleasures of a professionally educated and trained pastry chef, Mrs. Bree James. Staley is a Texarkana native, and Bree a welcomed transplant, but together, Staley and Bree obviously make a great team. Patrons seem to consistently enjoy a unique variety of tasteful entrees, sides and desserts. Adult beverages at the Twisted Fork include various beer and wine selections, as well as cocktails.

Since it's opening, the Twisted Fork has quickly settled in as one of Texarkana's busy, newer and trendy restaurants, no doubt in part due to such a fine and talented team of trained and skillful chefs like Bree and Staley, and considering such a well-managed staff. While a trendy atmosphere with likewise trendy chef-prepared creations, the Twisted Fork may find soon find itself becoming more of a long-lived and we'll established town treasure than it has already somewhat seemed to be fast becoming. At least I think so, if only for it's apt place offering a still new experience in finer Texarkana dining. Bravo!

It may be wise to make reservations in advance, especially since the restaurant is so commonly busy at almost all times from opening until near close. Just moved down south and ate here 1st time last Saturday for my anniversary dinner. Sadly I will not be back. We ordered the cowboy nachos 1st and asked for no jalapenos. It came out with jalapenos, their was very little meat and pico on it. The meat was not fresh, the ends of it was hardened like it had been sitting awhile. Also, the chips (which is what we mostly got on the plate) was cooked in not so clean grease. The server told the manager about the jalapenos and they made us another plate. This plate was not worth the $12 spent. Then, our main meal, I ordered the burger with a egg on it and made sure the server put over easy on the egg. It came out over hard and the server put in a order for another. When he finally brought it out, it was still not over easy. By the time it finally came out my food was cold and we just asked for our check. We paid for our meal, regaurdless of me getting to even eat mine. As we were leaving, we stopped and told the manager about the ordering twice and it was still not correct. She said "O Ok ya" and asked if the reciept was our copy or theirs. We absolutely LOVE this restaurant/neighborhood bar and grill. Atmosphere is laid back, relaxing and enjoyable. Food is very flavorful, served at perfect temperature and we always order more than our stomachs can hold....BUT with that being said, we have a great late night snack or lunch the next day. I highly recommend the Chicken Caprese!!! BUT the pizza is amazing too!! Delish!!! It is my "Go To" the chicken caprese. Drinks are priced comparable to any in this area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hostess as you enter will seat you. They have a dining side and a bar area with seating at bar and seating at tables, booth and chairs. Restrooms are clean. Can be a family night on one side of the grill or with adult night out on the side with the bar. Credit cards, cash are payments available, takeout as well as dining in. They do have entertainment on Saturday nights. Get there EARLY if you want a seat! They have a stone oven for cooking the pizzas. Great selection of wines, liquor and beer. Photo ops throughout for great opportunities to document your night with friends and family.
