Waffle House — Restaurant in Texarkana

Food was great!! I had an all star special and everything was how it was suppose to be! Only reason I’m leaving a 3 star review is because of the service I received at the to go register. After my food was done and I was about to walk out I noticed I only had one syrup and they usually give me two so I turned back and asked for another syrup and some extra butter. The lady that I asked clearly didn’t like that I wanted more syrup etc. The look on her face said it all, she rolled her eyes like it was the hardest thing for her to do and she made me feel very unwelcomed. Even after seeing that I still said thank you and she didn’t even respond and rolled her eyes again. She seemed like she might be in her 40s or 50s and that is very unprofessional for someone at her grown age. I wish I had her name so I could report her personally but all I know is that she wore glasses/white lady and was on to go register at about 9:15 ish. If she’s like that with most customers she is going to cause a lot people to not want to come back. 1/10...

Ate at Waffle House and we found a fly in our grits. We didn't make a scene because accidents happen. Notified the server and he went to the senior person on staff, not the manager. Senior person on staff did not approach the table until he was requested too several times, and still said very little. He had the server proceed to state we had to pay for the meal. After some discussion, nothing outlandish, I paid for my meal and told them I would be contacting corporate. It's the principal of the matter. I worked in food services and totally understand the situation. The meal were $22 dollars, it was never about "getting a free meal". We paid the bill and paid the server a $10 tip. I feel like I was discriminated against bc me and my husband waited for 15mins before we were even recognized by the waitress. Was not even greeted when we walked in the door and there was only four people waiting on To go orders that were already being prepared, but as soon as a black lady walked in the was helped almost immediately. My order was completely wrong and my husband's was almost wrong except for his sausage. She walked past a group of four people that walked in after us at least 4 times and only acknowledged them when they tried to sit in a booth that she "reserved" for the black lady that just stood there at the bar like she was placing a to-go order instead of sitting in the booth when she came in.
