First off, very good pizza and wings. I will definitely be back, however I do have a few notes and suggestions.
The pizza is expensive. 2 twelve inch pies and an 8 piece wings got me to $40. That being said, you can tell they are using quality ingredients, so that’s probably the reason why.
They didn’t tell me over the phone what my total was, or how long it was going to take for carry out. Honestly I didn’t care so I didn’t ask but if you do care you should ask them. BPC, y’all should probably just tell people that stuff anyway.
I ordered boneless wings and they gave me bone-in but to be honest I might have gotten lucky on that, because these wings were the best that I’ve had in awhile. Really big pieces, they smelled amazing like they had been smoked and of course they tasted just as good. They didn’t give me the celery sticks that comes with it but whatever.
Pretty sure they gave me 14” boxes for my 12” pizzas. I’m only bringing that up because when you do that it makes the pizza look smaller. Again, I don’t care I’m just bringing it up as a word or advice to BPC, get the right size boxes it’ll make your pizza look better.
I don’t think I waited longer than 15-30 minutes to pick it up but when I got it they had it sitting on a table in a hot bag, which was okay but they should definitely get a hot rack or something because I wish the pizza was hotter. I’m gonna try to pick up sooner next time.
So yeah, lots of room for improvement but honestly, really good food, nice people, close by, and they offer delivery! I definitely recommend getting from them if you’re...
Read moreInto the hinterlands of Boerne we wandered in an easterly direction along highway 46. At a 4 way juncture we stopped to assuage our impending supper appetite with no less than a 16" rounder of heretofore untried pizza to take home.
We marveled at the fact that this pizza restaurant had been in its current location for 4 years and our thinking its age more like 18 months having remembered its addition to the area's culinary draw of O'Brien's restaurant, Taquitos Tex-mex, and the Bergheim Meat Market.
What's wrong with a pizza place that makes everything feasible on site including sauce, crust and smoked chicken? Nothing if your taste bud's are any judge. We left with a 16" cook at home beauty just begging to be racked in the oven at 425° for a short 16 minutes.
Nicely thrown thin crust that browned but remained pliable, savory meatball thins, non-greasy pepperoni and bacon bit crumbs all topped with flavorful cheese and a somewhat undetectable sauce.
Lots of other Italian goodies to try there as well as to eat-in or take home. We will be going back again at some future rendezvous with the attraction of quality ingredients and a make up pizza as mitigation for the black olives that were mistakenly left off our well...
Read moreI’m a little disappointed. I drove 25 min to pick up my pizza because my area off 281 is not in delivery zone. I had ordered a 16 in pizza which is the largest you can get. When I checked my box at the restaurant I noticed it looked more like a 12 in. I asked the man behind the counter if it was actually a 16 in. He said that it was. Once I got home I actually measured the pizza and from crust to crust it was 13 inches. I will say that the pizza was good, but when it’s lacking 3 extra inches all around that is a big difference. Hopefully they will correct this. I’m sure that there will be other unhappy customers if they are not getting the size they are paying for. In my case I drove a little under an hour & brought home a much smaller pizza than expected.
UPDATE: I did get a really quick call from the manager Eric after writing this review with his apologies. Therefore I changed my rating to 4 stars because the pizza was good. He told me he had already had a conversation with the kitchen in regards to the sizing and making sure that they are to standards. Meaning if you order a 16 inch you should get a 16 inch....
