First let me start off by saying that the staff is really friendly and very professional. This review is not a reflection on the employees that work there. I am overall satisfied with my experience with dairy Queen, however I just have a couple of concerns that I think needs to be addressed. First, it seems to be a growing trend to not include napkins when you go through the drive-thru. This is the second time that I've been to dairy Queen where I haven't received napkins in my bag and I don't think about it because I'm so used to it being already in there. However I'm starting to notice this across many different fast food chains, and I'm not sure if there's been some sort of policy change. Also, something needs to be said about the level of ice that's provided in a large drink. I don't mind ice in my drink of course, but when it's all the way to the top and you get very little soda, it seems like it's a rip off. It probably would be easier just to go buy a 20 ounce soda because you'd probably get more anyways. Lastly, the jalalitos we're not very good. My advice to anyone interested in trying them, I would suggest that you don't. The ones I got were very greasy and burnt, you couldn't hardly taste the jalapeno, they were not spicy, and they tasted so bad that I couldn't even finish them. I threw the majority of them away. Not the best $5 I spent, which at the same time $5 for such a small amount is not worth it. However everything else I purchased was just fine. The belt buster was of course great as always, and the fries were decent. I understand that times are tough, and I understand that a lot of restaurants are struggling right now due to the economy, but that still no excuse for subpar product, not providing napkins, and putting too much ice in your large drink. These sorts of things make me not...
ย ย ย Read moreI don't write reviews often, but this was a bad enough experience that I felt I had to. I ordered one of the cheapest burgers on the menu that was $2.49, and the photo showed it as having cheese on the bottom. The woman asked me if I wanted to add cheese and add bacon and I said yes to both so when I ordered four of these I assumed it would be about $12 or $14 but instead it was almost $20. But I was hungry and agreed to pay it anyway. That's when the trouble started. They gave me food but it was not made correctly, the bacon I had paid over a dollar extra for per burger was not in any of the burgers and then the cheese only had one slice and the manager told me that even though the photo on the menu shows the standard version of the burger including a slice of cheese on the bottom that they won't include it unless you pay extra for it, but the menu doesn't say that. I had to go back inside to get them to make my order correctly and they wouldn't give me the second slice of cheese I paid for. I feel like I was misled when placing my order, and this took up more of my time than it deserved to. Most restaurant managers and business owners have a policy that if you give the customer the wrong order the meal is free or they'll give you something to make it right, but these people didn't seem to abide by that tradition...
ย ย ย Read moreDisappointed in whoever runs the DQs in Texas. I'm from Georgia where the Dairy Queen app is awesome. Apparently they use a different app here, which doesn't support order ahead or any of the rewards or points that the other app has (I think it's the old version all other DQs used years ago). I went to use the sign up offer, which clearly stated that I would get an "ANY SIZE" blizzard. Apparently that wasn't the case at this location either, because "she didn't want to give out a large". So I had to settle with a medium. I feel if you're going to not accept an offer as is in the app, that should be posted or noted at that location somewhere, so I was aware before I activated it, because unlike the better DQ app all other states use, I couldn't save it for later after I clicked on it. Will probably not be back to any Texas DQ, because the main reason I used it was the convenience of online ordering and the discounts you could get. They're just cutting corners with their offers here and it feels disrespectful to not even honor an offer that was presented in their...
