The saying goes, "one rotten apple spoils the bunch," and let me tell you, this place is a prime example of that. It's not my first time here, but this visit really took the cake in terms of mistreatment.
I've got to say, my recent experience at this restaurant left a sour taste in my mouth – and not because of the food.
As soon as I walked in, I was met with a scene straight out of a soap opera. One of the staff members was in a heated argument with a customer, and while I didn't know the full story, it was clear something wasn't right. The customer ended up storming out, clearly fed up with the drama.
Next up was my turn to order, and let's just say, it wasn't exactly a warm welcome. The lady behind the counter barely acknowledged me, let alone wanted to engage in any sort of conversation. I figured maybe she didn't hear me, so I patiently waited for her to take my order. But instead, she punched something into the computer and then abruptly walked away, leaving me hanging with the cash register. Her few words were laced with aggression, and I couldn't help but wonder why.
After what felt like an eternity, another employee, Ms. Brianna, finally came to my rescue after I called out to her. But even she seemed stressed and frustrated, just like the other employees.
Look, I get that everyone has bad days, but this seemed like more than just a one-time thing. It's clear that there's a problem with the way things are being run here, and it's affecting both the staff and the customers.
I really hope management takes notice and addresses these issues ASAP. It's time to weed out the bad apples and make room for employees who actually want to be there and provide...
Read moreI didn’t not know my 2024 bingo card would have me giving a 5 star rating for a gas station chicken place. My husband rented a U-Haul across the street and the employee told him about how good the chicken was. I’m always looking for a reason not to cook so when we dropped off the rental we headed over to get some chicken. We got the family meal 20 piece chicken tenders with 2 sides and 4 rolls. It was a little pricy tbh but that’s capitalism. We got a mix of spicy and original. Spicy wasn’t as spicy as I hoped but I’m weird and eat habaneros fairly regularly. But taste and texture was excellent. Also tenders were smaller than I expected… yay shinkflation but I’m not going to disrespect this place and take a star away or anything because that would be wrong. Rolls remind me of Hawaiian bread but not as dense. I haven’t tried the sides we got yet but the teenager approved. It was green beans and Mac n cheese. The employees at the chicken place was very nice and personable. Restroom wasn’t Bucees styles but I wasn’t afraid for my life and could breathe through my nose when I entered. Keep up the good work yall! Forgot to add we got a brownie, cookie and the roast chicken 3 piece. Teen approved on that too. They didn’t have the...
Read moreFirst off. The guys that were working here are great! Only two men on shift and they handled their business.
Here are some thoughts. Started with the Sweet Tea. It was not sweet and has a funny taste. The unsweet tea lacked and same funky taste. The Pepsi was flat also.
The roasted chicken was flavorful and the seasoning was great. Moist and juicy friends! A must!
The Wicked Chicken Sandwich was far from wicked. The chicken breast was a little larger than a chicken tender and the heat was non existent. Popeyes has them beat by a mile. I'd take a Chick-fil-A spicy over it any day!
The mash potatoes were just that. Nothing exciting. You never expect that. The oakra was not fried crispy, very mushy.
The dirty rice was a home run especially for fast food. It has a little kick to it. Very good.
The rolls were missing yeast possibly. Flat and just not good.
The ice cream machine was down and the clicking chicken machine bits quite obnoxious.
So here's my advice. Grab the roasted chicken with dirty rice and maybe try another side to go. Then pop into the gas station for a drink.
We will go back and try it again. But I think the guys need another person to help them.
If it wasn't for them, the place would...
