This place is steadily going downhill! While neighboring restaurants have at least one in house table to serve. They consistently get my order wrong and when its brought to their attention the older lady jumps in and offers a rebuttal to how the dish was made to order. At each visit I at least order a shrimp fried rice spicy with extra shrimp(well done). My preference takes my total to minimum 16 dollars just for rice. That was fine when I first began to frequent the restaurant as the quailty USED to be great. At present it's sub par at best. Three consecutive times I've ordered and my order was wrong. This last time I should have simply asked for a refund. The rice was requested as spicy...when I got it home there was no spice to be found not even a flake of black pepper. I requested the shrimp to be cooked well done...well they were still pinkish....even after the guy in the back yelled at the guy who prepared it and gave him the box back to dump the rice back on the grill. What I got after that was oily bland rice with pink shrimp. Hey that could be the new name for it on the menu..lol It's my fault for continuing to frequent this establishment...but I only did because I thought one day the quality I once knew this food to have would somehow return. At this point I won't hold my breath but I will hold my dollars from being spent here. No wonder the place stays empty these days over half the time. No service no quality. Money ill spent for sure. When you know better you do better...and I know at least one other restaurant in the area that's topping what grand cafe used to be...it's just a farther drive...but at this point that's ok. If I had never experienced better food I might think grand cafe was something...these days it's not. I have no idea how an order can be prepared doubly wrong and the establishment was dead as a door knob...the grills in the back even smelled like they took the day off....
Read moreI normally love Grand Garden. Let’s just be honest it’s cheap Chinese food but so yummy. Tonight I was craving Chinese food so I got what I usually get wonton soup, combo lo mein, and egg rolls. The order was delivered on time. The wonton soup was very hot but they didn’t put the crunchy strips that usually come with it. In my opinion it’s just not the same without them even though the soup was good. The lo mein was probably the worst I ever had. It was not very hot and the noodles were way over cooked very mushy. The lo mein also had a very strange taste. It’s almost tasted like old fry oil, very off putting! The quality of the meat was also not great and there was only 2 pieces of chicken, 5 pieces of beef, and 3 very small shrimp that were fishy. There were hardly any vegetables as well 2 pieces of cabbage and 1 piece of green onion. The egg rolls also tasted of old fry oil but cooked well. I know that the cost of everything has gone up but raise your menu prices and still serve the same quality. After this experience I will not be going back to Grand Garden. It was a complete waste of $24 dollars. It makes me sad to write this review but no one should have to pay that price for food that wouldn’t even be served at...
Read moreThis place has the worst customer service EVER ‼️‼️‼️ I ordered a sweet and sour chicken with chicken fried rice but instead when I got home I opened the container and noticed that I only had regular fried rice. I immediately called them to explain that my order was incorrect. I was told that the person that took the order made a mistake and only charged for regular rice there is a 2 dollar difference. I said no problem but I wouldn’t be able to come back for another 30 min. When I arrived with the order that was incorrect and the 2 dollar difference. I was told that I would have to pay another 10 because they remade the chicken and the rice. DUH ‼️‼️‼️ I returned the wrong one in its entirety. They refused the difference in exchange and refused to give me a refund. They take your money and refuse to do rite. Don’t spend money with these people. They took the second order that I opened to view and sold it to...
