iBill's BBQ & Firewood — Restaurant in Texas

Was in the mood for BBQ. Found this place on google maps and the reviews were really good. Drove up and the guy there asked me if I wanted firewood. Its 102 outside. Dont believe so. But will have BBQ. Asked for a sample of brisket and jalapeno sausage. Brisket was very tender and sausage was good. So I ordered a plate of brisket and sausage. And the last 2 jalapeno poppers. Was $ 11.00 not bad. And $ 2.00 for thr poppers. Arrived home was excited to eat my Bbq. The potato salad was probably store bought. The beams came from a can. Now for the kicker. Brisket was not from the sampler because that one piece was more than than what was in my plate. As you can see all the fat left over from just a couple bits of meat.The sausage was burnt. When I placed my order the guy went to the little building next to him and got the meat. I already had my sampler before he went and got the meat.He said he was about to run out of brisket. So I think what happen was he needed to make a sale so he could unload the fatty brisket and burnt sausage. Oh and the jalapenos poppers were halves not whole and $ 1.00 each you can tell my the picture how tiny they are. This place gets 2 stars for the free sampler that was way better than the plate. Not sure whats going on here but I bet the firewood may be a better deal. Definitely not going back and buy a $11.00 plate and get $ 3.00 worth of food....

I dropped by for lunch after reading decent Yelp reviews. it's located in a tiny little pocket on Brittmore so watch out or you'll miss it. Look for the small red enclosed trailer.

I got the sliced beef plate which comes with sliced brisket in sauce, potato salad, beans, bread, and a jalapeno. The brisket was nice and smokey, great flavor. I asked for lean cuts and he gave me nice lean cuts. Some BBQ joints tend to be pretty dry when you ask for lean but this stuff was nice and juicy still. Very flavorful. The sauce is good, potato salad is great. More sweet than tangy, which I prefer. The beans are also good.

All of this for 8 bucks (current price). You can't beat this food for the price. I haven't had better bbq than this in the area and certainly not at this price. I'll be coming back every time I need some bbq in my life!...

For the uninitiated...it's Blazin Bill's. Owner has no website, simply noted by Google Maps as "iBill's BBQ". Hah.

It's a dirt lot with firewood and BBQ trailer. I've been visiting to buy the wood only, 10 years. On a whim, bought 1lb of brisket today. (And I cook my own periodically).

The sliced brisket melts in mouth. His BBQ sauce is singular. Dude has been there for years. Doing his thing.
