My husband and I came here for lunch yesterday and were impressed. We have our go-to spot in Vintage Park but this was closer to our home, so we figured we'd check it out. Not to mention it's next to Ground Dwellers where our kids go.

Upon first walking in. You see authentic photos and embroidery from Mexico. The decor is quaint and not over the top. You are greeted warmly by the hostess or host and all the workers (it was like the 2nd day so everyone was excited).

We got seated nicely and quickly. They offered a fun drink suggestion. The margaritas flight. Super yummy if you like frozen margaritas. We received green and red salsa w/ chips while we waited for our drinks. We ordered the fundido cheese w/ steak. Super yummy! Rolled in tortillas, a little grilled onion and salsa and it was superb. We got the orange queso house special as a nice gesture to try and it didn't disappoint. House made chips were yummy.

We had planned on eating more, but were already getting full so we decided to split the 3 taco plate w/ rice & charro beans. It was all delicious. We 100% will be back.

The deciding factor if we will continue to come is if the michelada is on point. Will update this after we try. Regardless our take aways are:

Great service. Friendly. Clean. Tasteful decor. Delicious food. Unique margaritas in the flight. Not...

My wife and I ate dinner there Friday evening. We have been dedicated patrons to another close by establishment for years. We were quite impressed with the food, the service and the incredibly awesome Cucumber Margarita and Amaretto Margarita. Fabulous menu choices that will definitely make for many more great dining experiences. Of all of the other dining concepts that tried to make it at this location. I believe the curse has been lifted and El Zocalo will strongly survive in this building.

Being within walking distance, or about a minute and a half drive. It's about 8 minutes closer than our old favorite place. Reasonable prices and a lovely atmosphere, along with friendly faces among the staff. All around excellent food, from the table salsas and the dinner plates. We'll be trying more menu items in the near future and sharing our experiences! Thanks, and Welcome to the...

Came with my husband and daughter last night to try a new place and we were really impressed. The waiter was attentive without being overbearing, the food was superb, and my daughter loved the music so much she made us get her out of the (not broken) high chair so she could dance. At most of the restaurants we go to the high chairs have straps that are broken or they’ve just been removed but these high chairs even had a new kind of strap system than I’ve seen before which was able to keep her contained when she wanted to climb out. My husband got fajitas and I got the street tacos which they were kind enough to let me sub charro for refried and pico de Gallo for a small cup of queso. I can’t say enough good things about it. Looking forward to coming back with just adults so I can try one of their margarita...

I believe people who have been going here for a while may be the ones leaving good reviews, and I’m happy they’re having great experiences.. mine however was far from memorable. We ordered the chicharrón, we were given skins. It would have been great for the menu to specify their version of chicharrón. Next we ordered queso fundido, which was pure watered down cold, but once warmed cheese. And the final punch was the shrimp nachos. Soft tortilla chips, with sprinkled bagged cheese and once frozen, flavorless shrimp. I feel like there was zero effort put into all three items we ordered. Everything seems processed and frozen foods thrown together. And then to get a bill for $50 🥲

We’ve wanted to stop by here and finally got a chance today. Glad we did! We ate on a Tuesday (5 PM). There were 2-3 couples when we arrived and about twice as many when we left. We were seated promptly. Our server was very personable and she took our order quickly. While we waited for our food we enjoyed chips and (spicy) salsa. We wanted something our usual Mexican restaurant does not have so we ordered mole chicken & the tamale plate. Both were hot and tasty - we cleaned our plates! They had quite a few choices on the menu - pretty diverse menu. We’ll be back. All the employees we interacted with were friendly and seemed happy to have us there. Thanks!
