I really like to try all kinds of foods and restaurants. No matter if they are super High end or not at all, because sometimes they can be even better than your expectations. Although, 90% of the times that you see that a restaurant looks run down on the outside, it might confirm that you should go somewhere else. This restaurant is a mix that is difficult to describe. It looks run down outside, and as soon as you get in, has all kind of smells between old, bathrooms, mold, and food. Carpets are so old, that, very surely influenced such a not pleasant smell. I almost said we need to get out of here, but we stayed! Tables and booths were fairly clean, which it was good. But then the menu’s were not and when we got the chips, I grabbed the salt and it was sticky and kind of disgusting. The service was good, all the servers were very nice, they were also checking on us often, that was very good, but it will be better if everything is the same. Chips were very good and fresh, dip salsas were good, but then my husbands dish enchiladas were ok, but mine was not what I would look forward to repeat. The beans were very blend and watery, the cheese was good if the queso flameado was good, but the fajitas and the meet, was not that great. I like to try simple stuff in the beginning, if the simple stuff in not great, usually I don’t even want to try the main meals. So, I appreciate the waiter, he was very nice, but I don’t think I’ll be back there. A lot of space for improvement, and the smells when you get in need to go, and the flavors and food preparation really need to get better. They can renew the place, change the carpets and paint, also clean menus, salt and...
Read moreThe absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. My table waited 45 minutes before we were ever greeted by a waiter, and that was after a person in our group went to the hostess desk twice to ask who our waiter was and after asking a random waiter walking around if we could have some water. We finally were able to order and get our water almost an hour later. They forgot my plate of food and brought it out once everyone was finished eating. The plate was sitting under the heat lamp for so long it was scalding hot! The waiter unapologetically slid the plate to me, and my 2 year old, who was sitting right next to me, lost his balance and his wrist very briefly touched the plate. He now has a second degree burn on his wrist. Then we had to walk up to the hostess desk to get our check. When talking with the waiter about the terrible service he kept saying that I didn't understand because they've been very busy. If busy means empty tables all around us, then okay, they were busy. If they were that busy to warrant a 45 minute wait to get waters, then the hostesses, who were playing on their phones, could have helped the waiters out. Everyone that got food said it tasted good, but I cannot recommend this place as it was the worst dining experience...
Read moreHad always driven by, decided to try it out. Ordered enchiladas verdes for my toddler and I to share. The plate came out scorchingly hot so I placed it far from his reach while cutting off bits and pieces to bring to a smaller plate. After an entire enchilada was eaten and a few bites of rice and beans, the plate was cool enough to bring within reach. As soon as I pulled it towards us, I saw a black wirey hair. Upon telling the server, he said he would take care of it and offered to send me with a new meal to go. I declined but did say I wanted to pay for my iced tea (mostly so I could tip him as I didn’t have cash and it wasn’t his fault). Looking back, they really should have comped the tea as well. He obviously felt bad so he brought me a tea to go but I didn’t take it nor drink another sip from the tea I already had because I was so grossed out by the food. Super disappointing/disgusting experience and although this seems like an uncommon occurrence based on all of the good reviews, I would...
