I was craving Turkish style food and Yucca Grill came up as the closest to me. I saw it had promising reviews, so I told my husband "We are having Turkish food for lunch!". He wasn't sure what Turkish food was, but I promised him it was delicious! He's adventurous so he was up to try.
We had no expectations for this place. It's located in an unsuspecting strip center. When you walk in you forget you're in a strip center off Louetta. The atmosphere is trendy, elegant, romantic and beautiful. First impression clean!
Appetizer We started with the Yucca sampler. So delicious, and the bread.... Goodness gracious the bread, don't judge us on the two baskets we ordered.
Entrée For our entrees we order falafels to split so we could taste them. So fresh, the seasoning was terrific and the falafels were not dry whatsoever. I ordered the lamb chops. I love lamb chops and if a menu offers them I will get them. Every.single.time. These lamb chops were some of the best I've ever had if not the best! Tender and juice, with awesome spices. They were good cuts as well, the bone was not splintering and you could cut through the meat with a butter knife. My husband ordered the Vienna schnitzel. He said it was very tasty and seasoned well. I am not a schnitzel person but tried his. It was so delicious. More like a very tender not as greasy and the batter actually sticks to the meat chicken friend steak. He kept going nuts over the fries. He loves fries, I'm 100% sure it's his favorite dish. He kept raving about the seasoning.
Drinks My husband ordered the Turkish coffee. He's never had Turkish coffee before so part of me didn't want to warn him... but I did. He really enjoyed the coffee and loved how smooth it was. I got Lemon Mint. I crave lemon mint and it's really difficult to find a good cup here. When they brought it out and it was green with the ice froth on the top I was so excited!!! I took my first sip and I was transported back yo UAE. It was so delicious on this HOT Houston summer day that I even thought I deserved one to go.
Dessert We were too full to eat any dessert as half of our meals were packed up for a second meal, but we did ask for some pistachio baklava to go. I'm sure it's nothing short of delicious and cannot wait to try it!
While I was enjoying my beautifully prepared lamb chops I looked up at my husband and said this place is someone's dream. Someone thought and dreamed of Yucca. There is thought behind every dish and how it's presented. It's truly a beautiful inspiration.
I wanted to get this review out while everything was fresh in my mind from freshly leaving Yucca Grill. I told my husband we will be venturing to Spring at least once a month to fix my craving for...

If you’re looking for a place that offers not just incredible food, but an unforgettable experience, Yucca Grill is absolutely the place to go. From the moment we walked in, we were immediately greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. But what truly set this restaurant apart wasn’t just the food – although it was hands down one of the best meals we’ve ever had – it was the experience we had long after the meal was over.
Let’s talk about the food first. Yucca Grill serves authentic Turkish cuisine, and every dish we tried was bursting with flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced, the ingredients fresh, and the dishes were as visually appealing as they were delicious. Each bite was a revelation. The kebabs were cooked to perfection, the mezze plates were vibrant and full of texture, and the baklava – wow, it was the best we’ve ever had! Truly a feast for the senses.
But what made this experience even more special was the hospitality. After our meal, we were invited to stay and enjoy tea outside on the beautiful patio. We ended up chatting with the restaurant owners – who are the most wonderful people – and the conversation flowed for hours. They shared stories, life lessons, and we had such an enriching experience talking to them. It felt like we were visiting old friends, even though we had just met. The fact that they welcomed us into their space even after the restaurant was closed speaks volumes about their kindness and genuine love for their guests. It was a moment we’ll never forget, and it made the evening even more memorable.
The ambiance of the restaurant is also top-notch. It’s aesthetically pleasing with a cozy, welcoming vibe. Whether you’re there for a romantic evening, a meal with friends, or simply to enjoy a relaxing moment, the atmosphere truly enhances the dining experience.
While I didn’t take many pictures this time – we were just so caught up in enjoying the food and the incredible conversations – next time I’ll be sure to capture more of the beautiful setting. I can’t wait to return and relive this amazing experience.
If you’re in Houston, do yourself a favor and check out Yucca Grill. Not only will you enjoy some of the best Turkish food you’ll ever taste, but you’ll also be welcomed into a place where you can relax, enjoy tea, and have amazing conversations. The food, the service, and the people all make this a must-visit spot in Houston. Highly...
Read moreJune 12, 2025 Update: In my opinion and based on our experience. Sadly, an underwhelming experience at dinner this go round - as compared to the superb experience previously (see below). Ordered Kapoglu as appetizer, Ayran for drinks and Falafel Plate and Manti for entrees. Latter at the recommendation of the staff. Service was welcoming but a bit forgetful/distracted even though the place was empty. Kapoglu was fine although the quantity seemed to have decreased. Falafel was crispy but flavorless/under salted and the expensive Manti had more pasta than meat (tiny bits of meat). Overall, left disappointed…the whole meal for two with tip set us back $52. Pricey for what was on offer. If returning, would stick to the staple Kebabs/grilled meats, which though equally pricey, were flavorful and plentiful.
Original Review: Read about the restaurant in the Klein Community Impact newspaper and visited for dinner. Place was buzzing with customers. We were greeted and seated promptly. Due to the rush and with Murt and the owner’s daughter being the only ones waiting on tables, there was a bit of delay in taking our orders. The wife-husband owners were busy cooking and washing in the kitchen. Food, consisting of Hummus, Round/warm Turkish bread, red lentil soup, Kapoglu (eggplant with cheese), Yucca Mixed Grill, arrived relatively quickly, given the crowd. Tastes were exquisite! Especially the soup, eggplant, lamb chop, minced lamb skewer, and the Adana Chicken - meats in particular were moist/tender and beautifully marinated. The grill platter came with pickled red cabbage, julienned raw onions, and flat bread. Reminded us of the exquisite meals we had in Turkey! Murt was very apologetic about the delay in attending to us and treated us to home made Baklava - a yummy, welcome surprise! Food tasted fresh as it is all made to order onsite. Overall, a fantastic experience - the meal set us back $85 (including a 20% tip). The restaurant is a great addition to the Klein community - do visit and support a local,...
