Los Dos Amigos — Restaurant in Texas

Just go! You won't be disappointed! I'm embarrassed that it's taken 2yrs for posting a review! (I thought it was an immediate/given that I already posted 5 stars!) We're "local" x 2yrs. Given few local restaurant choices, Los Dos has become a favorite, as with many others in the area. My rating for Los Dos is not because they're the only Mexican restaurant in my immediate area. My rating considers ALL of my experiences! (20 yrs in Austin, +)

Chips & salsa: 5 stars!!! Chile Relleno with beef fajita: 4.75-5 stars (my ONLY deduction is PERSONAL - I'm not a fan of tomato chunks) Quesadillas with chicken fajita: 5 stars - the go-to for my teenage boys; 1 asks for 2 orders! Juanita's mini tacos - a go-to for my husband Enchilada Combo plate: OMG, THANK YOU! They'll make each of the enchiladas differently, if you ask. We've ordered this countless times, often with beef fajita. Green Enchiladas: great flavor and mildness! Awesome with chicken fajita. Jalapeno Enchiladas: hubby loved it

Breakfast tacos: really good, homemade tortillas. My only "gripe" is that another place's tacos are similar but are bigger and significantly cheaper, especially since the pandemic... Making me drive to the other place for breakfast tacos. (Maybe this review might help? Of course I'd rather go to Los Dos! 😉)

My family and I were traveling from Houston and stopped here for lunch. We were very pleasantly suprised at the quality of the food. We have many fine Mexican food restaurants in Houston, and the food here was on a par with the best of them. Tortillas were fresh, tender and tasty, the beef fajita taco were real skirt steak and well seasoned. The refried beans did taste canned, which was the only negative. My daughter's chicken sandwich was huge an d was a real chicken breast, not some Mcnugget style minced patty. I highly recommend this restaurant if you travel to this...

Stopped in for dinner. The chips were warm and the salsa was tasty. I mentioned we like it spicy so they brought a spicy salsa and boy did that not disappoint! The place was clean and the staff was very friendly! 5 stars for service! I asked for a skinny margarita (made without that sugar mix stuff), I think there was a communication break down on my part, because we ended up with the sugar mix margarita.
