Our party of three stopped in for lunch. Just to be up front, I am in the food industry, so I am a little more picky than most when it comes to customer service and kitchen standards and practices.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, which set the tone and was appreciated.
Upon taking our orders, it was stated that everything is freshly prepared. Music to my ears!
After about 35 minutes, the food came out. I was taken aback as the definition of ‘freshly prepared’ was not what I am accustomed to.
The presentation of the food itself was ok. The ingredients in the sandwiches looked fine, but we learned quickly that none of it was fresh.
The potatoes were very greasy and bland. Personally, I would change that item to good old fashioned fries of some variety.
As for the sandwiches, it appears as if there is a lot going on which is fine, the issue is that all of the items were pretty bland considering how they looked.
After we finished, the cook came out and thanked us for stopping by which was appreciated. He was wearing a tank top though which is a HUGE no-no as a chef.
As stated before, the customer service was great. The theme of the menu is awesome, the delivery just falls short. In my opinion, they need more rock and roll decor to compliment the menu, not a wall of coffee cups.
In closing, the dining area is dirty and dated and needs attention. The kitchen definitely needs a more disciplined approach to cleanliness. The ingredients used need to be re-looked at. Fresh means fresh, not canned or frozen. I will say though, the sweet tea...

Sweet tea was amazing. The server was adorable. The chef was in a tank top, shorts, and drenched in sweat.
Let's talk food. The concept is there, but delivery is not so much.
The Trooper is supposed to be a loaded potato on top of a Ribeye. The Ribeye looked like a Mcrib. No sauce (BBQ, Mayo, or Ketchup), then an oversized portion of potatoes that were greasy and under seasoned. I think with portion control, fresh meat, and seasoning, this has the potential to be amazing.
Porkys Revenge - Right off the bat, you get liquid smoke flavor from the pork, which is fine, but again, the portion was huge and no sauce. The veggies were not sautéed just chopped up and placed. There is a very overpowering vinegar taste due to the tomatillo blend. Less is more.
Again, this is not to knock the place at all. It really does have potential. It just needs a revamped menu...
Read morethis is my grandparents restaurant no family siding here there food is amazing and yet someone leaves a 2 star review? if you look at all of the other reviews they are mostly 5 star or 4 star and they do not mostly serve "good old fashioned French fries" on most items of their menu, and also i doubt that you are in the food industry sir because you can tell and even ask them all of the food is freshly prepared, and while it is greasy what do you expect from them not having a fryer and making them in a nice and oily pot? overall a 10/5 no...
