Southern Maid Donuts — Restaurant in Texas

We tried this place on a whim because we have been trying to find donuts other than shipleys. I really wanted to love this place, but I can't! Everything we got was old. You can tell it has been sitting and not from this morning. Cheese is nonexistent in everything we ordered that was supposed to have cheese and meat and eggs tasted stale. We bought donut holes, glazed donuts, sausage egg cheese kolache, bacon sausage cheese kolache, bacon egg and cheese kolache and regular sausage...

The cashier is very rude and acts like she hates everyone or is not happy to be serving. I thought she was having a bad day until my 3rd or 4th trip and she was rude to my grandson. I love the donuts etc. But dont want to be treated badly for the amt of money i am willing to spend. She was annoyed that he could not have cheese and he got kolache with cheese. Plz know some people are allergic to cheese and it shouldnt be...

Nice place to grab breakfast on-the-run. I came here at 7 am before heading to work and was out pretty quickly. I ordered, jalapeño kolaches along with sausage and cheese and both were pretty good. I wish the jalapeño kolaches were a bit more spicy though 😅 Also, there are large and small sized kolaches but the bread on the small ones have a nicer taste. I'll probably go back and try the donuts since they looked...
