I’ve bought food from here a few times but this last visit will be my last. On their window they have a sign that says the large quesadilla comes with rice and beans. Which I ordered, when I got it the “large” quesadilla was tiny I even double checked with the cashier about the size. She said it was the large. I sat down and had forgotten about my rice and beans. I went back to the window and ordered two sopes due to how small the quesadilla was. Seeing the sign again I remembered I didn’t get my rice and beans. When I asked the cashier about the missing sides he blamed me and said I needed to be more specific with my order. That it was my fault I hadn’t gotten my sides, because I didn’t tell them I wanted the sides. I never raised my voice or spoke in any disrespectful matter. Other teens inside the food truck gathered around and laughed. They tried to treat me like a Karen. They acted like I was complaining and even said I was being dramatic. I wasn’t complaining, I wasn’t asking for anything free either. When I saw how small the quesadilla was I accepted it and ordered more food, I even tipped. The kid at the window said he would take my sides out to me as if he was doing me a favor. I sat and waited and they thought it was funny to never bring it out to me. I didn’t go back, to the window to ask. I was with my grandma and didn’t want her to notice I was uncomfortable and annoyed. I simply cleaned the table I ate at and left. I will never go back nor recommend this place to anyone simply due to the lack of of customer service and respect. It’s a bunch of teens playing cooks...
Read moreI visited Taqueria Los Gallos with high expectations based on the positive reviews but unfortunately left disappointed.
I ordered three fajita tacos. two on flour tortillas and one on corn. Although the menu mentions homemade tortillas, they tasted closer to store bought. The meat portions were generous, but the flavor and texture were not enjoyable. The fajita meat was mushy and reminded me more of ground beef than traditional fajita. (Suggest you drench with salsa to mask the disappointing taste)
I also ordered a chicken quesadilla for my child, but it had an unusual taste that made it unappealing. The rice and beans were another letdown. Both lacked seasoning, and the rice tasted more like plain white rice than Mexican style rice.
For a drink, I tried the lemonade. I specifically asked if it was freshly made with lemons and was told it was, but it tasted more like a powdered mix with some lemon added.
The total came to $23 for three tacos, a small quesadilla, rice and beans, and a large lemonade. While I understand food costs are rising, the quality and flavor did not match the price.
Overall, the food and drink did not meet expectations, and I personally...
Read moreMy husband and I went on a hunt for a good, not-too-expensive taco place after our usual go to place was closed (on a Friday, weird.) We stopped at several places and nearly every single one had mini tacos at $2 a pop!! Over priced, in my opinion. We finally ended our search at Taqueria Los Gallos. As the name suggests (and what i could see), the place is run by a kitchen of men. The wait was too long for the amount of food and amount of people ahead of us (one person.) Aside from that, the food was pretty good, the salsa flavorful and spicy, and the Horchata, unfortunately, watered down. The fajita meat on the torta and tacos was good but a little salty. Great place with a...
