Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Texas

I had gone to tropical yesterday (Feb 7th 2024)after a long day, all I ordered was a kiwi quencher for dinner. And I had gone drive thru which was fine but the first employee that took my order was nice at first and she was the one that told me “I will be bringing your smoothie soon” and then when they gave me my smoothie it was a second employee mind you the smoothie is $7 almost $8 and it’s a big size smoothie and when they gave it to me there was a big chunk of product missing when normally they fill it up all the way. I kindly returned my smoothie and ask for them to fill it up which the second employee said yeah I can fill it up. Then the first employee that took my order appeared on the window again and the second employee as well and I could tell they were talking among each other while holding the smoothie that I had returned and the second employee gave it to the first employee that attended me and I guess she wasn’t counting on me looking and all she did was shake the cup so I didn’t notice that there was still a big chunk missing. And then she proceeded to hand it to me which I ended up putting it in my cup holder and opening it in front of her to see how much they had filled it up and it wasn’t much from what it initially was already missing and I turned to look at the first employee which she had shaken the cup and she was avoiding eye contact, and I drove away because I really had a long day and I was counting on tropical because they make great smoothies but I don’t think that it’s fair to be cheating their customers on something they paid for just because they don’t want to fill it up. I don’t recommend this...

👎🏼👎🏼 UPDATE: there’s been a change of staff/management I’m not sure exactly but it’s awful. After politely asking for resolution (person on 📞 apologetic & accomodating) on an inedible smoothie & having an unprofessional experience when I went to resolve said issue in store as discussed on 📞 —I won’t be going here anymore. Sad bc I went at least once a day or sent my husband. Hope the owner looks into this. Very sad. It was an amazing run for a few months.

To be snarky over 1 coupon for someone that orders daily in store or DD (at marked up prices at that) seems utterly asinine for business revenue. Enjoy the transient, non-repeat business.

OG post: I had previously only gotten food here and it was not good. Someone mentioned the smoothies & I’m so glad I tried them. 🥰 They are delicious. Highly recommend the smoothies!!...

Walked in to a bright, clean environment. This new establishment is one to check out! Especially if you're looking for a yummy alternative with fresh choices. On the menu they have wraps, flatbreads, sandwiches and salads. The smoothies are their own vibe. The staff was friendly, especially Raul at the drive thru window. Ordered a shake and it was quickly made in less than 5 minutes. For a first time visit, I rate it a 5 stars with excitement to come back and try something new and...
