I’m not sure why people are giving this place good reviews the owner must be just giving away food to them or has a lot of close friends that visit. First of all on google when you click on the menu, it’s way off from what the price is actually in the store. Actually almost doubled. That’s a red flag. I showed the owner the price online and why it’s not the same as the total she gave me and she said that must be the price when we first opened. She told me to goto the website and that’s the correct price. No apology or sorry for the inconvenience. In my head I’m thinking…You are an owner of a business and you don’t know what the price shows on google of all places. I ordered an iced latte, a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel, and a brisket quesadilla. The latte was pretty mediocre coffee. The bagel was ok but wasn’t even an everything bagel and wasn’t even toasted. The brisket quesadilla needs to be taken off the menu. They serve you some dry brisket with the worst kind of cheese that’s not even a Mexican blend. It wasn’t filled up like the quesadilla should be instead the edges don’t have any meat or cheese. Like it was something you would serve a child and they would be content with it. There’s no quac, salsa or sour cream served with it (really strange). The price for this breakfast/lunch was a whopping $35. ??? Like what. Won’t be coming back and I feel like every one that reads this comment should goto the store and ask why they still haven’t updated the menu prices online “since they opened” Also there was one person in the restaurant not even eating at around lunch time. I honestly don’t know how they make money...
Read moreThis café was super underwhelming. About 60$ w/ tax and tip for two. We got a breakfast burrito with turkey bacon, chicken and waffles, 1 pancake with chocolate chips, and coffees for us both. It sounds like a lot of food but somehow we left hungry because of the small portions and skimping out on protein.
The chicken and waffles were immensely disappointing. Grilled chicken instead of fried, only 3 slices that maybe were half a chicken breast total, and bites that felt undercooked. I’m astonished that you can serve that little chicken and not cook it through. Very little flavor in the chicken itself. Saving grace was that the waffle was crispy.
The breakfast burrito was extremely small, like 1/3 of a Chipotle burrito. Also skimping out on turkey bacon. The tortilla itself was also not grilled, just raw. Was extremely soggy.
The coffees were extremely overwhelming and underwhelming as well. The tres leches coffee just tasted like sugar without flavor. The KC Mila was better but it tasted like espresso and milk without much flavor.
The chocolate chip pancake though was very good.
It took 20 mins to get our food and apparently they didn’t have water cups, which isn’t a huge problem but service overall felt a little slow.
Not the worst spot of been but definitely not a spot to go out of your way for if...
Read moreTo the owners: I'm sorry. This is going to be quite critical. I'm sure your restaurant is lovely, but the espresso just isn't.
If you, world-weary traveler, have been to Renew or Daily Grind in Frisco or Theory in San Antonio, you have had great espresso. You will not find that here.
I went in for a cortado, which was served in a normal "small" dixie coffee cup filled nearly to the top. Every bit of 8 ounces (I ended up measuring it). If you know cortados, you're already horrified -- cortados are NOT to be more than 5 ounces total (~2oz espresso + 2oz steamed milk, conventionally). 8 ounces makes this something else entirely.
I assume they're ramping milk ratio because they know their espresso is...well, let's just say rough.
Guys, please take the cortado off the menu. Having a cortado on the menu is generally an indication that a shop is confident about the quality of their beans and that they keep their espresso well dialed-in. This is the first time I've seen this "cortado rule" broken.
This is very much a restaurant which also serves coffee, NOT a coffee shop which happens to serve some food. Don't go here for 3rd-wave espresso. That's not what they're about. I'm sure their food is...
