Ordered a couple of burgers and a hot dog. To make a long review short, these burgers were the worst burgers I've ever had. Not bad in the sense that there was a rat tail stuck in there, but more like there was zero flavor in almost the entire thing. Even the onion and pickles had no flavor. I had to pick off an onion and pickle separately and eat them just to try to search for a hint of flavor. Never with any pickle or onion have I had to do that. How do you even manage to sap the flavor from a pickle and onion? The beef itself was likewise flavorless. Just a tasteless, "cooked to order" patty that was half medium-well, half medium-rare. The seasoned fries were also 100% unseasoned, half-fried potato chunks. The hot dog was the only thing that was okay, and even then it was mediocre at best. Like a hot dog from the concession stand at your local high school football game. Thank goodness I got jalapenos on it or I might not have tasted it though. To the credit of the restaurant, I can't speak to the atmosphere, the patio, or the drinks, as we got our order to go. However, the staff was quick and friendly when picking up our food. This review is strictly indicative of the food we ordered. Which, was terrible and not worth the money. Especially considering the large number of competing restaurants in the area. Even for a bar that sells food as a side business it is mediocre. Neither worth the time nor money when you can get better food, cheaper, just as fast. Once again, to be fair to Dirty Burger, they may have just had an off night. The cook died or something. But I will certainly not be going back to find out if they...
Read moreI had this delivered on DoorDash, and I am pleasantly surprised this was food from a bar. I'm not local to Texas, but in Arizona I think I've tried some darn good burgers.
Let me tell you, your life is about to change. No smashburger could compare from AZ, as far as I know. Mallard reaction (same effect that happens to a steak you sear for a crust) on the edges was chef's kiss.
I will skip the dirty sauce next time, not because it wasn't delicious but because I felt almost purist when eating this burger. Beef flavor was so fresh and it just tasted like a grass-fed open range healthy cow.
I give this review a safety star (6/5) because it wasn't perfect but the food was exceptionally good aside from my two brief critiques.
Soda didn't taste right, specifically very tap water type flavor. Might need to check the machine. Specifically Dr. Pepper on 09/12/2024.
Please consider wrapping your burger in foil for long deliveries! I would've loved the freshness preserved quite a bit more through the nearly 2~ hr delivery process but alas, the food was still warm and I was more than impressed. Maybe consider driving in for their food if you can. Either way, didn't feel fair to deduct a star for something they may not be aware of :)
I'll probably revisit before leaving town.
Thanks Dirty...
Read moreTLDR: great food, annoying and dishonest business practice.
I love the food hear. I get the smash burger every time and it’s why I keep coming back.
However, the business is knowingly falsely advertising their connection to the Billingsley collection. It’s a collection of an apartment’s they offer discounts to participating business’s. Dirty Burger USED to be part of that, now they aren’t. However they still have the bright gold signs right on the front of the door.
I’ve been back to dirty burger 3-4 times after they stopped honoring the discount, and ive been told they’re “working to take the sign down” when it’s simply a gold sticker. The management knows, the employees know, but they still advertise it.
It’s a bad business practice. They’re also still on the Billingsley collection website as well. Overall management needs to step up and rip the gold sign off the door.
It’s really not that hard, but it seems intentional...
