Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in The Woodlands

This location is, by far, the worst Shipley I've come across. My family and I were SO excited when we learned one was opening so close to home. My daughter loves some of the filled donuts and kolaches. However, so many times we've been greeted there with poor attitudes, and an extremely lacking selection. Even the kolaches we've asked for have wound up having jalepenos in them. While I do not mind that, my daughter does, and won't eat that. They never have her selection of filled, and the ones they do have look like they've been crushed. In order to get what we wanted, months ago, while I was ailing from an injury, we placed a DoorDash order the night before, and even that arrived incorrect. In fact, we literally only received half of it. And, last night, I placed an order for this morning on the actual Shipley website, but when I arrived at the drive-thru to pick it up, (met with typical poor attitude) she told me I had to come inside to get it. Now, I was in a rush, and didn't have the time to check, but when I did, it turns out they completely changed part of my order. Plus, when I was pulling away from the store, someone from the back came out holding a small child in her arms. Now, I understand, being a parent myself, that childcare can be expensive, and sometimes you just run out of options some days, but when you have a store with problems such as this, maybe you should be focusing on your job, and not bringing your children in where they might take that focus away from doing that job. Out of the number of times I have been to this location, not a single one has been satisfactory. It's better to drive 5-10 minutes down the road to the nearest one, or go to Snowflake 30 seconds...

I give the stars solely on the attitude of the guy at the drive-thru window. He has great verbal enthusiasm. I don't know if this is a family-run location or what, and not that it truly matters, except this group lacks motivation in the spirit of Shipley's Donuts. This morning, when they opened, they didn't have a selection at all. We had to come back. By the time it was all said and done, they still could not accommodate our 1 dozen donut order and what was there was not all that we ordered, but we just went with it. It's Sunday, after all. Next up was the jalapeño, cheddar and sausage kolaches... they were good but not even put together correctly. I like my cheddar and jalapeños spaced out, not every but bunched into one end... with esophageal problems, it caused pain that I just did not appreciate. Since this location opened, sadly, I cannot say even once have they done an excetional job on any of our orders. I think it's time to return our business to the next closest Shipley's. Sorry guys... do a better job at donuts and I'll give a better review....

Today was the last time I will ever go to this shipleys again. I will drive to the one on 2920 from now on. A few months back I had a hair in one my kolaches and today I ordered 4 Bold kolaches with cheese, two glazed donuts and an order of donut holes with two chocolate milks. As soon as I opened the kolache bag what do I see?!? A FREAKING LONG HAIR which immediately grossed me out. I was to far to turn around and every time I go the ladies are not wearing any hairnets or at least have it put up or something. Kolaches tasted old and this ain’t the first time they have tasted old. To the owner of the store please make your employees wear hairnets because more people will walk away like I just did. 2920 shipleys will get my business again because I never had hair in my food and kolaches always...
