Subway — Restaurant in Texas

Edit: About a month or 2 after my initial review my bf went to pickup my order and the workers tried to gang up on my bf to have him take down this review (he had no clue what they were talking about because he didnt write it, I did!) because they didn’t like that I said they move slow… like did y’all miss the compliments and the 5 star review?? Ever since then the guy stared us down anytime we would go there or to the attached gas station and the staff became rude as ever. We no longer visit, the service and environment became very hostile. You shouldn’t operate a business if you can’t take constructive feedback… Now you’re down to 1 star and I’m contacting corporate since I no longer go to this location. Way to fumble a good review/customer.

Initial Review Clean, great service, great portion sizes. They move a little slower but I actually appreciate my sandwich being well put together versus thrown together just to safe a few seconds. Will continue...

This restaurant offers great food, but there can occasionally be a language barrier with some employees who don’t speak or fully understand English. I don’t find this offensive, but I can see how it might be challenging for some customers. What stood out to me the most was seeing that the employees don’t receive tips. As I was paying, the screen prompted me to leave a tip. Out of curiosity, I asked one of the workers if they actually received the tips. They said no, explaining that their boss doesn’t allow them to accept tips from customers. Surprised, I still chose to tip using my card. Later, when I checked my bank account, I noticed the tip had been processed. The takeaway here is that if you want to tip the employees, make sure to do so in CASH, as their boss apparently keeps the tips...

visited this location today between 5–6 PM and was very disappointed with the cleanliness and food handling practices. The place appeared dirty, and I observed clear signs of cross-contamination, which is a serious violation of food safety standards.

The staff member on duty didn’t greet me or offer assistance, but I went ahead and placed an order anyway. I specifically asked for avocado (which I know costs extra), and was disturbed to see that the same utensil used for the avocado was also being used to handle other ingredients like lettuce—everything was mixed together. This lack of proper hygiene was unsettling, and to make matters worse, the employee remained silent and said nothing the entire time.

Overall, it was an unpleasant experience, and I hope management addresses these...
