TACO TACO SPOT — Restaurant in Thornton Township

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the service at this establishment (taco taco spot). I never had a problem with this place until a specific cashier get on the register. ( I always had the girl she's really nice). The guy with glasses on that's a bit chubby, always seemed a bit off with Black people. I ordered only a horchata and waited patiently for it. However, when another customer arrived which was arab, could pass for a Mexican men, the guy said make me a Horchata real quick now mind you he already have mine in his hand about to give to me, the employee (Hispanic Mexican) gave my order to them instead and put a sticker on the top of the cup and literally sat there for an extra two minutes while I’m literally looking at this man give him my order, When I asked about it, the employee apologized and said oh my bad I'll make you another one real quick, but seemed unbothered by the mistake. I requested a refund, and the Hispanic Mexican guy started speaking with another staff member lying about the whole this in Spanish, it felt as if they were attempting to minimize the situation rather than resolve it. After a lengthy discussion going back-and-forth, I finally received my refund. Additionally, I observed another staff member appearing to document my car’s license plate, which was unsettling. I have been to this place several times since I've stumbled upon it and overall I am satisfied. I usually order the steak tacos which are very good. Another favorite is the shrimp tacos. I like the elotes, having tried steak and shrimp Elotes for the first time, very impressed, so good. Both the tamales and the enchiladas could have used more salsa. It was flavorful, but did taste a bit dry without enough green salsa. Tried birria for the first time here expecting to be satisfied from my previous encounters and I was a bit disappointed. They were edible, but very thick (not complaining about portion size), and not as flavorful as I had hoped. Got the dinner and was only able to finish 1 taco. The beans that come with the dinners is just horrible to me. Last night it also tasted sour, hard pass on refried beans here. I came in at 11:17PM . I came in and a young African American lady was at the front , I said “hey what time do you all close” she looked at me with the craziest face & nasty attitude said “EXCUSE ME” I said , what time do you all close ; she said 12 & then walked away . . — She Didn’t say “can I take your Order” “can I help you or anything . .
