The Hideaway — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Lived Around the corner for over 6 years and weirdly have never stepped a foot in here. I decided today I wanted to stay local to celebrate my brother's birthday with it being St Patrick's day weekend didn't want drama or to deal with crazy drivers!!! When we first walked in was all eyes on us but I'm sure they were all regulars. I must say the bartender was very friendly and attentive and didn't make us feel weird at all. I did notice they did have nice Monday thru Thursday drink specials..... I was also impressed with there chicken wings and there fries both were very good and nice and fresh. I have never visited this place before until yesterday. So with all my health issues, including the fact I had surgery on my esophagus, so the smoke brothers me. My point is never ever, did anyone every ask me if the smoke would be a problem for me and I said yes. He was so nice, sweet and concerned about my well being. He made me feel so welcomed, and safe. Outstanding clean place nice comfortable atmosphere no riff raff lots of fun very social friendly people coming out being together to have a good time.
