I have been a faithful customer of Los Nogales for over 10 years and have always loved coming here, especially on Fridays. Unfortunately, my recent experience has changed my opinion of this restaurant. Last night, my husband, my 12-year-old son, and I went for dinner. My husband ordered the daily special, which included a soda. Due to dietary restrictions, he can not drink soda, so my son drank it instead with his kids meal that includes a drink. (But he ordered water) When the bill arrived, we noticed an extra charge for a soda. My husband kindly asked the waitress to remove the $3.25 charge, explaining that the soda was part of the meal. She argued for a good 5 minutes, insisting that my husband didn't drink the soda, that the kid drank it. I tried to explain that the soda was included with the meal regardless of who drank it, but she refused and continued arguing with me. She was just plain RUDE. I shared my tostada with my husband, should she charge me extra for that? I have never received service like this before at Los Nogales. It's a shame because the owners are wonderful people, and I have never had any complaints until now. Needless to say, I did not leave a tip for the "Soda Police" 🚨, which is very unusual for us as we always tip 20% or more. But I'm going to leave a "TIP" now! TIP: Treat your customers good or you won't have any left to treat bad! It's sad to say, but after this experience, I will not be returning to...
Read moreI was surprised to see how busy this place was at 2 pm on a weekday! This place is cozy and clean and has a nice, relaxed air about it. The waitresses seemed friendly and didn’t make you wait around for refills, etc. The chips were freshly made and the salsa was really good. I got chicken flautas and they were also obviously fried to order. The chicken inside was nicely seasoned and not dry/stringy. The side of refried beans was really smooth and creamy, some of the best beans I’ve had. The side of rice was nice and did not have frozen mixed veggies mixed in (I personally am not excited when I see those precut carrots and green beans in restaurant rice) The portions were really generous and I was able to have a nice and quick lunch under $10...
Read moreWorse customer service I ever had. Tried to order a Juarez style burger a couple months ago. It's not on the menu but I've had it there before. It's a special request thing. The server was having difficulty understanding me so she went and got who I assume to be a manager or possibly cook from the kitchen area. Wow... fat Latino young woman was so rude. She had a tone. I even tried to give her an out by saying ok. It was a different person I've ordered them from. She put her hands on her hips and with a rude tone she had been there over 7 years and they've never had those. Funny I see a previous review from someone else four months ago recommending you request the Juarez burger. I still tipped my server $10 though, but I'm...
