My family of four and I came to Colorado for a trip out of town. We checked in, grabbed our bags, and went into the elevator, which reeked of cigarette smoke and cannabis. We went to our room on the second floor and we stepped inside, it was fairly normal and matched the pictures on the maps photos provided. We turned on the light at the doorway to hear a buzzing noise from the light, not to mention, apparently the cannabis and cigarette smell wasn't exclusive to the elevator, as the room was just as repulsive-smelling. We set down our bags and examined the sheets on the beds, neither of which had any comforters. The pillows were all varying in size, and both blankets had holes and stains all over them. The matresses were only as thick as a mattress for a cot. As we started to take a closer look at the room, we noticed that the bathroom had mold growing in it, and the ventilation unit inside the bathroom was missing a screw. When we all sat down to have our dinner and watch TV, it made a sound similar to that of an older TV, when we switched the channels, nothing happened. We fixed the problem by repeatedly turning off and on the TV, and by then we just needed sleep. The heating-AC unit sounded equally as terrible as the TV, making it difficult for all of us to get any rest. The floors were so dirty, they were black, and the sink was broken with water smelling like fish. They gave us only two towels, when they were fully aware - weeks in advance, mind you - that there were going to be four people staying there. We spoke to people at the front desk about the issue twice, once before the day was done, and once again the next morning. The first time, we were told that they didn't have any extra bedding or towels because the rooms were fully booked and the bedding was spread thin throughout the rooms. In the morning, we went back into the office to complain to the manager, whom told us that they couldn't give extra bedding or towels out because of COVID.
The morale of the story,
If you have a reservation for this...
Read moreWhatever you do, do not get a room here! Not only will they not tell you that you need an extra $100 deposit which they will not take in cash but upon entry to my room which was just this last Saturday, February 8th 2025 I requested a ADA disabled room. I got room number 131. Now mine too. This is a motel. Not a sweet not a hotel. This is like motel 6 from 1986 and it looks like they haven't cleaned it since.
Although the girl at the reception desk was polite and nice and kind. Everything else was horrible. Lots of shady characters hanging out and living here. The showers floor literally almost fell in when I stepped in it. Walls are smudged dirty gross.
But the worst part is I had just traveled for 12 hours and only needed room for about six. So I could just have some place to sleep between travels. I just picked the cheapest place I could find. Boy did I pay for it.
Upon getting back out of the shower and into the room barefoot (my first mistake) I felt something sharp on the bottom of my foot as I looked on the floor there was tiny shards of glass everywhere. All over the floor on both sides of the bed as well as all over the sheets, pillows and blankets. I immediately called the front desk and they're only option because I had already taken a shower and couldn't switch my room they said (why? I don't know they were going to have to clean it anyways. There's glass all over the place!) they offered me a broom to clean my room.
I'm sorry but when is it my job to clean a health hazard from my own room before I move into it? I have disputed this with the travel company and Red roof who owns this location or at least as affiliated with it and after 3 days of arguing they are not refunding my money. So if you want to sleep in a bed of glass and step on it all over the floor or other disgusting health concern issues that this hotel will subject you to and not offer you any resolution then go ahead and waste your money.
Otherwise I would do everything I can to...
Read moreLet me first off by saying that this place requires $100 deposit by credit card only. That was not told to me up front by Priceline. ||Despite that, I had been trying to get in my room for 5 hours and have been traveling for 20 hours previous to arriving. ||I got into my room finally which was a disabled room which I requested specifically. ||I was giving keys to room 131 in the back corner. ||I set my things down on the bed and headed to the shower. I noticed there was shards and flakes of glass all over the floor by the bed. Because they would have to clean this one now that I took a shower in it? I mean there's glass in the bed.
