Right off the bat, I don't recommend coming here for the chicken sandwich, the price and environment is not worth it. Where to start on this 2 star review? How about the beginning of this fateful trip. My party walks in, we wait in line, purchase a total of 5 sandwich's (they actually had them this time,) and sat down. My friend ordered separately and when he asked for sauces he was being charged 20 cents per sauce! I don't know if this was because of a limited amount or another reason, but on his receipt it showed an extra 20 cents for ranch (mediocre,) and sweet heat (terrible.) After we sit down, we got our sandwiches extremely fast and the table was pretty clean (hence 1 star.) However, the soda fountain had look liked it had not been services for a while, ice was so high on it people had to tilt their cups to get a drink. We enjoy our sandwiches extremely quickly so we could consume them while they were fresh and hot... right? Nope, instead they are lukewarm and I see that there are a pile of sandwiches just waiting on the back counter, not even directly under a heat lamp or anything. We get past the temperature of our food and look into what makes up a Popeye's sandwich, you have the bun, "chicken patty," pickles, and dollop of mayo. I quotation the "patty" because I don't believe you can actually call it that. 2 members of our group got lucky with a decent size patty, my other friend and I got what seemed to be comparable to a chicken strip on a total of 4/5 of the sandwiches. Most of the bites were bread for us and drier than the Sahara, but alas we can get to the good part, the pickles. I love pickles, especially pickle chips, could snack on those all day. However, on these sandwiches our pickles seemed to have been meeting the bread for a bit too long as our pickles "green" came off onto the bun. That was it for me, I finished the few bites it took and left, I wish I could have gotten a picture, but it only took like 3 or 4 bites to eat any of the sandwich with actual chicken in it. I feel bad to be so harsh, but it is something that must be known to any prospective customer. I mainly did harsh this one item, but I have come here before to order different items. In a different party of 4, we ordered items such as mac and cheese, corn, mashed potato, obviously chicken, and some drinks. To shorten this already extensive review, the drinks were very watery, and almost all the food had no hydration to it as if they had been under heat lamps for hours before we came. I believe this concludes my experience with this chain and I do not think I will come here...
Read moreOk, it's Popeyes chicken, we all know it's good when it's right. The boneless crunchy but juicy chicken is great. The fries are great too when fresh and this location is normally serving up fresh food. Consistency for the win.
Where they went wrong this last time... I ordered the family tenders meal for 4. It comes with 12 tenders 4sides (I picked fries). They used to also give biscuits but they changed the deal, no more dry hard hockey pucks... I let that slide because half the time they were inedible.
But this last time.... Might be the last time I go to this location ordering this meal.
Normally they put all the chicken in one box and all the fries and another box. Because we all know some of the chicken strips are rather small and anemic, they would often throw in a few extra pieces to make sure you can really feed four people. The same thing happened with the french fries you generally got more fries than four people could eat.
Why are they now boxing up each portion separately. When I got home I had four little tiny boxes of chicken with exactly three pieces in each box.
I got four tiny boxes of fries with exactly a regular size small fry in each box.
I had enough boxes to play Minecraft or Legos.
I don't like that they're using all this extra packaging which ends up in a landfill.
I don't like that it appears they're counting the french fries instead of just being generous since they're already charging a ransom.
I don't like them skimping on the extra couple of pieces of chicken I used to get because some pieces are smaller than average.
It just looks like they're cutting costs (value) and raising prices.
Looks like my family is going to be the next one to cut costs and that means cutting out Popeyes at least for a little while until they get their act together. I don't know if they just ran out of big boxes or if this is a new trend but I won't be going back to this location for a...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but my recent experience at Popeyes absolutely deserves one. This place is nothing short of perfect. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by an incredibly friendly and professional team—each employee was kind, patient, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the food. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu—classic fried chicken, spicy chicken, tenders, wraps, sandwiches, and my personal favorite: the boneless wings with a variety of sauces (you HAVE to try the Sweet Heat!). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Their sandwiches and wraps are out of this world—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. I could honestly eat them every day.
The restaurant itself is spotless—clean tables, well-maintained restrooms, and a cozy vibe. I also love that the location is in such a pleasant area. You can sit by the window, enjoy your meal, and relax while watching the world go by.
Popeyes at this location sets the gold standard for fast food. Great food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere—I couldn’t ask for more. Highly,...
