The Pan Kitchen Mini Pot & Thai — Restaurant in Thousand Oaks

WOW - absolutely blown away by the place and soooooo stoked there’s finally a good hot pot & boba place in the area! My Chinese mother (who has v high standards when it comes to asian food, lol) introduced me to The Pan - the ultimate seal of approval.

Everything was so flavorful and 10/10 for presentation. We ordered the mini hot pot with Tom YUM soup and beef, which was to die for. It was packed with meat, veggies and other delicious goodness. The seafood platter was incredible as well - packed with flavor and the seafood was so fresh! You could tell the beef in the hot pot was high-quality as well.

Not only was the food delicious, the vibes & ambience is soo cute and the staff and owners were lovely as well. Super attentive and warm folks. Truly, this is my new favorite place and I can’t wait to come back already. What a treat to have The Pan open...

I would say this place is solidly BELOW AVERAGE and we’re pretty disappointed. when i’m paying for food, it has to be of a certain quality and I just don’t think this makes the cut. firstly: we ordered curry and it didn’t come with rice. who orders curry and doesn’t put it over rice? rice costs less than 50 cents to add so i really think it should come with saucy curries but if it really needs to be specified- make it clear! so disappointing to come home at 9 at night and need to make rice for a dish that definitely should have it.

as for quality, the noodle dishes come with the bare minimum (just brocoli and some bean sprouts). we also ordered the dumplings and what we received is a sad soggy wrap of unpleasant ingredients with a sickly sweet sauce.

Went today 4 the first time! There were only 2 other customers, didn't allow my party of 8 to sit where we wanted. Rude customer service! Didnt greet my party, forced us to sit close to kitchen!! 2 waitresses looked mad, no smile on their faces. All talking and lsughing in thai native language? Very rude! One cutomer came in and walked out as the waitresses n the cook was rude to her! Poor cutomet services!! Would not recommend this place! What exoti? they first need to learn how to treat cutomers!! Would have walked out but with 4 young kids who wanted Thai food. There was no other Thai restaurant close by! Will NOT go there...
