We stopped in for the first time on a Saturday for lunch. . Ample parking, plenty of seats. . We started with the Baked Mozzarella (think cheese garlic bread pizza. $10 for small, but it was more than enough for the two of us. . Got 4 Pierogies for $3.49. Weren’t Super amazing, but for 350 they were pretty good. The girlfriend went for the chicken finger basket with french fries. She asked for cheese for her fries and it didn’t come. Not a big deal. But she really wasn’t feeling the french fries. She loved the Bell and Evans chicken fingers. . I got two flavors of wings, six pieces each. I got the butter garlic and the hot honey. The butter garlic was good, but it really was just butter garlic. Very thin, didn’t stick to the wings. The hot and honey was a very sick sauce, More like a barbecue sauce consistency. Never had a hot honey like that before. It also had more spice than any hot honey I’ve ever had before which was nice. They both came with vegetables and blue cheese. Six piece I think was $7.50. The wings were large and very crispy. They were cooked well and they weren’t dry. However, next time I’ll probably try a different sauce, or on the menu it says you can mix up sauces for free, so maybe I’ll try a different variation? . The prices were very affordable so next time we’re in the area we will definitely be coming back!

I love this place, I really do. It may be the best restaurant in the area in my opinion. All of the food is good! The wings are exceptional! This is one of the two places around here I will actually spend money on wings for. The fries are excellent and super fresh. The service is very good too. Also I have to say the prices are very reasonable! For my most recent visit I ordered the Cuban panini and it was delicious. I prefer my Cuban sandwiches with brown mustard and pickles so I asked them to switch out the honey mustard for brown and have pickles as well. They did it for me with no issues! I also ordered a dozen wings because they are so good here! They have multiple flavors and all of them that I have tried are very good! Good enough that I don't end up even using the side of bleu cheese that comes with it. I think I've eaten here three times now and every experience has been great! I highly recommend it!

Hiking the Appalachian Trail & came off for re-supply, shower & laundry. Decided to try the Westy & boy are we glad we did. We went during low busy hours & were treated like royalty. Numerous beers on tap (or bottle), wait staff was amazing (thank you Kylie) & the food was perfect. ** My only disappointment was the lack of mac-n-cheese on my burger (see pic). ** The mac-n-cheese tasted phenomenal, just wish there would have been more. Our apps were perogies & tater skins-both delicious! She got 6 wings in garlic parm sauce w/ a spinach salad & fries. Lots of seating ares, indoor or out. Highly recommend if in the Hamburg, PA area. Also a beautiful little town & home to a Viet Nam War hero Chief Master Sergeant Richard Etchberger, MOH recipient.

I have been the Westy a couple of times. Every time has either been great or average. I went there last night and was extremely disappointed. I go to school at Kutztown University, and my boyfriend and I decided to drive over there because we love the wings. When we got there we waited for about 5min, which wasn't what I had a problem with. It was the fact that not one employee that walked passes us or that went to the desk at the entrance said anything. No " someone will be with you in a moment' or a simple " Welcome to the Westy". I previously worked at a restaurant for over two years, It did not matter who was seating, when a customer walks in they should be greeted. Our server was very nice and we got our food quickly. For an appetizer we got these fries that had lots of cheese and bacon on them. ( I cannot remember the name) I was not impressed by them at all. I will not be ordering them again. The last time I was here I had ordered Boneless Chipotle wings, I loved them. So, that is what I had ordered. I was disappointed as soon as I tasted them. They tasted like the bowl was not washed before mine were mixed. They tasted like a honey barbecue sauce mixed with chipotle. I did not complain because I did not mind the taste. My wings were also almost at room temperature when I received them. My boyfriend ordered South west wings, his tasted like they were sitting under a heat lamp for a couple hours before they were served. You could tell after the first bite they were not made to order. Despite our meal we had our eye on a desert from the menu on the table. The next time our server came back we were going to ask, but did not get the chance. As soon as I had gotten a box for the rest of my wings she instantly gave us the check. She did not bother even asking us if we would care for desert. At this point I was just frustrated with my over all experience and we paid the check and left. As we were walking out there were about 4-5 employees standing near the door. Not one said " have a good night" or " thank you come again". So we drive back to my apartment disappointed that we drive to the westy for the great wings and were let down. There are about 3-4 different places right in Kutztown all of 5min from my apartment that serve wings and we chose to come to the westy and ended having a terrible time. After retuning to my house I snacked in grapes while my boyfriend ate nothing else. Currently right now, he is sick, Now there is no way to prove that it was from the wings. But the only thing he had different from me all day was the wings. I do not think either of us will be...

We have been going to eat here for over 20 years. We moved 45 minutes away and would stull travel the 45 minutes to go for dinner. But the last time we went there 2 weeks ago it was a horrible experience! We got our Baked Mozzarella sticks (which were perfect) but we also ordered a california cheese steak with extra fried onions and mushrooms. It took 45 minutes just to get the sandwhich, which came out with no fried onions or mushrooms. During the 45 minutes we waited the waitress never even came back to the table to check on us. Never refilled soda or coffee. When I told her their were no oinions she brought me out a small dish of them, which at that point I told her there were no mushrooms either she said really? I will have them make a new one. I told her to forget it we did not have another 45 mins to wait for them to make another one! As soon as she walked away another server showed up with another sandwhich. We told her to box it up we were leaving! It was the worst experience I ever had there and if it were our first time there I would never go back the service and time was not worth the 45 minute drive! So hopefully it is better next time we go because not even the best Mozarella sticks will be worth the drive. So I am sorry to only give 2 stars I would love to improve my rating since it used to be 5 stars for us. And the sad part was they were not real busy. We will not be bragging to everyone we know to go try it there because I can not say the experience is as good as...

Do not go to The Westy unless you appreciate being told your name was called for a party of seven after you patiently waited for one hour and a half, and was able to hear every name and number in other parties while standing inches from the wait to be seated sign. Never, did I at any time wait outside, since she stated “I even called the name outside” . The older blonde had the nerve to tell me she called my name 20 minutes ago and the number in my party, after I inquired why other large groups were being seated before my group and who had waited less time than I did. Here is a fact— the blonde wasn’t seating people when she allegedly called my last name and party of 7, there was another employee seating patrons. I initially was asked by the same woman “did we miss your name on the list?” I look down at a pad that was being used by an employee taking names, and my last name was no longer listed, Hmmm?! no proof my name was even called, although I did see my name written on the pad an hour and a half ago. Obviously the older blonde chose to lie instead of apologizing for an oversight. BIG MISTAKE!! Do not take your customers intelligence for granted, since you do rely on people to be able to run a business. I never - ever have gone on a site to write an experience, so clearly this was the WORST customer service I have had with a restaurant. I gave one star since there was a bench near the please wait to be seated sign- so I didn’t have to stand the...
