3rd Street Cafe — Restaurant in Hamburg

Bad food followed by even worse service. Everyone sitting at the counter had a theory on why the service was so bad on Saturday, July 13th. The oatmeal took forever and was pasty and not fresh. I had to ask for every little thing, which except for the cinnamon being used by the lady next to me was not quick to get there. I had to ask for the milk, the brown sugar, a napkin, coffee refill. One girl might have been new, to be fair, but the other half dozen or so could have covered down for her. I had to think back to 1981 at a Mc Donald's for service so bad. But everyone else at the counter was in shock too for their service. I think the guy to the right of me was right: the owner. Seems he hired the daughter's of any local friends who asked? How could people so use to getting service be so bad at providing it themselves? They need more training and...

The food is the only thing that saved this review from being a 1 star. I was in town visiting family that lives in Hamburg so I decided to try this place from the reviews, i ate here 2 times in not even a week the first time was on a Sunday morning ordered Creamchipped beef and a Texas egg sandwich the bill was around $15. I ordered the same thing the following Saturday and my bill was $24. When I asked how did the price jump up so much i was just here back on Sunday. I was told the price of eggs went up. Umm you’re charging me that much extra because eggs went but a few cents. I did pay the bill but it left a nasty taste in my mouth that a small place like this just rips people off with charging what ever they want to charge instead of charging...

Just had the worst experience there. After working all night, we stopped there because I wanted breakfast. While we were sitting at the counter waiting atleast 30 minutes for my breakfast and just toast for my overly tired boyfriend... A different waitress *shannon..says to me..to have my boyfriend step outside, I said why..she says because hes nodding off..and there's kids in there. We both immediately ask, what.. hes nodding off..she asked him to go outside. He immediately got up and walked out. I stayed behind, sorta baffled..because he's tired.
