Wow!! Our first visit to this local and little known (for now) restaurant and what a surprise it was. Perhaps the most authentic tasting Mexican food this side of Tijuana. The menu has many items you won't find at the typical Mexican restaurants. I have to gush a minute over the Charro Beans. This appetizer is unbelievably delicious. I have seldom tasted anything as fresh and original as this soup. Pinto beans with chorizo, bacon, cheese, cilantro and onions. The first taste of this soup was so impressive it sparked a pleasant debate between my wife and I. What is that seasoned with? I say cinnamon, she says cumin or coriander. Try it and let me know what you think it is or not, but try it nonetheless. You can thank me later! I ordered the Pollo Ranchero. Hot, delicious and cooked perfectly. Dos Lunas touts that every ingredient is fresh and it definitely tastes that way. The salsa is five star. Fresh and mildly spicy. A salsa that ranks as one of the best I've tasted. Another plus is the guacamole that came with the meal. Most establishments offer about a teaspoon. Here there is quite a bit more. It's not a thick pasty guac. It's very fresh and extremely flavorful. My wife ordered fajitas. They were mixed, a combo of steak and chicken. She loved her meal and gave it a 4.5 out of 5. Are we going back? Oh heck yes!! If you find yourself hungry in the Tipp City area stop here at this hidden gem. You won't be Disappointed!

I rarely give a restaurant 5 stars, but I've had a hard time finding great Mexican food in the Miami Valley. Dos Lunas fills the bill. Opened in late 2017, this Tipp City cantina serves fantastic enchiladas, burritos, and chimichangas - all favorites of mine. In fact, the shredded beef enchiladas are the best I've had anywhere on the East Coast. The atmosphere is lively, the staff is friendly and delightful, the music is infectious, and the prices are reasonable. Dos Lunas' is the perfect place to get your Mexican food fix in the Dayton area.

I don't even wanna go into it, but this owner is something else. BUT IN MY MULTI-ORDER EXPERIENCE, they were not clear on food prices. Whether this be due to my misunderstanding or their's, the person on the phone was NOT fully understanding of English. Which would be fine but they are taking orders in English, on the phone? Whatever. The last of which, the price wasn't the issue. I had ordered queso with my food, around 30-40 dollars worth of food. They did not include queso (I paid 3 dollars for it to be extra and in the end he conceded and realized i did pay for it and did not receive it). When I called, the owner insisted it was in the bag. I insisted it was not and wanted one. He KEPT insisting it was in the order. IT WASN'T. I asked if I could come back over and get one. HE KEPT INSISTING IT WAS IN THERE. I cant describe how much he insisted the queso was with the order. I tied back up all the food, brought it over and put it on the front counter. I felt disrespected at this point, and when i walked in i said I wanted a refund. He INSISTED ONCE AGAIN THE QUESO WAS IN THE ORDER. I was just mind blown and just kept demanding a refund. HE OPENED THE BAG. AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW. THERE IS NO QUESO IN THE BAG. I swear on my whole family's graves that it wasn't in there. Im not some queso vacuum that needs a gallon with my meal. I paid 3 dollars for it and just wanted to enjoy the meal WITH QUESO. But i was done. I felt disrespected over being told again and again the queso was in the bag and Im pretty sure at some point HEAVILY insisted I was lying or called me a liar. I ended up walking out with food on the counter. No refund in hand. HE NEVER OFFERED THE QUESO UNTIL THE BAG WAS COMPLETELY UNDONE AND HE SAT THERE AWESTRUCK AT THE FACT HE WAS WRONG!!! If he had just told me on the phone, from the start, "Hey come back over and we will get you one if i see there is no queso in the order", I would have HAPPILY done that. But he didn't. He kept insisting he was right and I was wrong. Im not some queso thief. I can go spend 10 dollars at GFS and get a gallon if i needed. But I didn't. I spent 30-40 dollars at this restaurant and didnt get what I paid for. He got EVERY ounce of food back and kept my money. Will NEVER go here again. EL TORO IS LESS THAN 10 MINUTES AWAY....

I ordered a fajita Luna and my husband ordered the burrito Chicago. My husband complained to me about the steak not being good and how it was very chewy. Made myself a fajita with chicken and steak (I like my shimp on the side so I Don’t put them in my fajita) I agreed my steak wasn’t the best either. My husband ate his since he hadn’t eaten all day. I ate the chicken an tried the shrimp. The shrimp sadly was worse then dry turkey your aunt over cooks on thanksgiving. Oh my gosh it was so bad! I explained to the waitress how I was not satisfied at all and explained what my concerns were. She went to get the manager and then came back a said he was on the phone a would be out in a moment. 10 min later she comes back with a ticket $5 less then the original. I asked to speak to the manager again. He came out, told him what my concern was and he went on to tell me that buys top steak and offered his invoice. Told me he donates to charity and doesn’t leave a family without food. I assured him I wasn’t worried about that, maybe it was the cook that over cooked the shrimp and steak. Again offered to show me his invoice. I told him I was leaving unsatisfied and not full because the food was not good. My husband looked at me an said let’s go. We got up said we wouldn’t be back an left.

This was poorly taken care of and handled so Inappropriately. Not happy with how this was...
